It is with a heavy heart that we write this post to honor and celebrate the life of Elsie Brangman, a cherished member of the SJD World family.

We had the privilege of working with Elsie on projects, including her book Diary of a Pyscho Hippie, and we are proud to be fans and supporters of her incredible work.

We were fortunate to witness her journey as she grew and thrived—not only as a student, artist, and writer but also as an independent and inspiring young woman.

Today, we honor you, Elsie. Your spirit will forever remain a part of all of us here at SJD World. 💜

On November 19th, Stephan and Derek proudly attended the 30th edition of the Black Harvest Film Festival in Chicago to represent our short film, Thoughts Become Things, at its final screening in the city!

A huge thank you to the incredible Black Harvest team for warmly welcoming us and showcasing our film three times! Once during the festival’s Opening Night and twice as part of their shorts program.

Over the past 13 years, we’ve had the honor of working with Ras Mykkal on a wide range of projects – some still to be released, some sold out, and others still available in our shop.

For the past five years, we’ve collaborated with Ras on building his Bermuda Sports Journal ( ). Last month he released his 20th issue!!! Ras handles the photography, writes the majority of the content, and designs the magazine himself.

Each issue features guest writers, athlete fun facts and of course, his signature sports photography from amateur athletes to Bermuda’s most famous athletes.

This month's newsletter is all about Thoughts Become Things. This short film project has been traveling around the world, appearing at multiple film festivals over the past month.

We are seeking additional sponsors to support our second phase of funding, which will help maintain the project's momentum and fund a short documentary about the making of the film. Over the past five months, we've been submitting our short film, Thoughts Become Things, to film festivals across the globe! We're thrilled to share that our film has already been selected for four festivals in Nigeria, Trinidad, Malaysia, and the USA. This project has been an incredible journey, and we couldn't have come this far without the support of our amazing sponsors.
