Recently, I had the pleasure of guiding a delightful couple from Austin, Texas (soon to be residents of Williamsburg, Virginia) on one of our Forts tours.

Unfortunately, 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙎𝙩. 𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙚, the main Fort they were eager to see, was closed for the holidays. So, to ensure they had the opportunity to experience it, I offered to return the next day for a dedicated visit to the Fort. They were thrilled!

Fort St. Catherine is truly a remarkable destination for visitors to the East End of Bermuda. It boasts an impressive array of exhibits, information, and captivating stories (no pun intended!), offering a fascinating glimpse into Bermuda's military history.

While I was fortunate to receive a kind compliment on my knowledge of the Fort, I want to emphasize that there are many talented guides across the island equally capable of sharing the unique experiences of Bermuda's Forts and the island as a whole.

This is a collective effort to provide our visitors with the best possible experience.

While it rained that day, it was nonetheless a pleasure to show and tell. (The rest of their stay was sunny ;-)

Fort St. Catherine is typically referred to as “The Jewel in the Crown”. The Fort is the largest of the Bermuda Forts – and is full of interesting and amazing exhibits, artefacts, and information.
