A couple of weeks ago, I had the honor of photographing the Ferrari F8 Spider. With this being my very first Ferrari, I wanted to venture into something new. So I decided to experiment with studio lights. It turned out to be the perfect time for this little experiment since the weather outside was absolutely horrible. Although it was my first time working with studio lights, I'm pleased with the outcome. The most important thing is that I've learned something new that I can now offer to clients. Working alone, this was somewhat time-consuming, but I absolutely love it and can't wait to conduct more lighting experiments.

Little update from the past 2 weeks with a couple of BTS snaps. Behind the scenes we're working hard on building our brand, making photobooks for a client, doing shoots and lots but lots of editing. Mill Media is still in it's start-up fase but we're working hard to become the go-to photography agency for the automotive industry.

Thank you to every single client for putting your trust in our company. We're the new kid on the block and I know it's easier to go with the veterans. We will never take you for granted and will do everything in our power to keep the customer satisfaction sky high!

Let's keep improving, building & creating! Nothing great ever came easy but it's worth the try 🤷‍♂️

The BMW XM has been polarizing to say the least. A bespoke design and a whopping 653hp engine under the hood. The styling has really grown on me and I guess I can see who they made this for. It has amazingly cool angles and as a photographer, that’s all that matters! Everything was against us during this shoot though. We only had 90 minutes and there was a storm coming in. The entire shoot was a big rush but somehow we still managed to get a few cool snaps!

Na lang overwegen ben ik blij te kunnen aankondigen dat we vanaf vandaag 100% gaan focussen op de auto industrie. Uiteraard kan je nog voor al jouw visuele noden bij mij terecht maar met Mill Media wil ik een duidelijke focus. Ik geloof dat deze gerichte aanpak zowel mijn klanten als mijn bedrijf ten goede zal komen en de kwaliteit van onze diensten alleen maar zal verbeteren!

Little recap of week 12: Finished 3 albums and got 3 happy clients! We’re also working on a brand new website which will focus on automotive photography. Automotive currently represents about 90% of our annual income so this step only feels natural. We think it’s important to develop & focus our skills in one thing so that our clients know exactly why they’re choosing for Mill Media. The website is looking good and we’re excited to share it with the world in a couple of weeks.

Despite this we will still be providing media services to any client that needs them. If you have weddings, corporate events, regular events & commercial work in anything other than automotive we will be happy to help you out! Portfolio will then be on request.

Let’s conclude this post with a series of images delivered to a private client. A beautiful 720hp BMW X3M! This might be the perfect daily although it might be a little loud. 🌩 What do you think?

The Bentley Motors Bentayga redefines luxury with the hybrid powertrain & cutting edge technology. I love my ICE cars but for big luxury vehicles there is hardly a better option. Smooth as silk, powerful as a hurricane and all the luxury you’ll ever want in a car. This car has really grown on me!

We've been collaborating with Wheeltorque to create unique and personalized photobooks for their customers. Additionally, we're developing a detailed plan to begin shooting commercial campaigns in the automotive industry. Our agenda for 2024 is filling up with numerous exciting local and international assignments and we couldn't be happier!

We've also completed our first book for Wheeltorque, and our second book is currently being printed! 2024, let's goooo! 🎉

Enige tijd geleden waren we te gast bij Carrozzeria De Buck. We werden uitgenodigd om de contentpool van het gerenommeerde bedrijf aan te vullen. Ondanks de bescheiden look van het gebouw, werden we eenmaal binnen aangenaam verrast. De wagens waar deze getalenteerde heren aan werken komen rechtstreeks uit de boekjes. Van een Ferrari 288 GTO tot een one-off Ferrari 365 gtb/4 nart spider. Het was een fantastische namiddag waarbij we de familie De Buck graag nog eens extra willen bedanken voor het vertrouwen. Hier heeft Golden Lakes - Lacs de l'Eau d'Heure gekozen voor een e-mailblast waarin ze hun klanten een fantastisch 2024 toewensen. Ook lichten ze de klant in met hun speciale aanbiedingen voor de winter van 2024. Mill Media voorzag de e-mail van bijhorende fotografie. We zijn terug! Enkele maanden geleden had ik plots het idee om een blog te beginnen. Ondertussen zit de winterbreak er op en mag ik vandaag de 6de publicatie online zetten! Door CarMemoirs heb ik al tal van leuke & waardevolle contacten gelegd en dit wil ik in 2024 absoluut verder zetten. Laten we de eerste week van 2024 beginnen met een heel bijzondere wagen! Ik had een kort gesprek met de jack-of-all-trades Beau Ackx. Hij rijdt in een Valencia Orange BMW 1M Coupé en heeft zijn eigen autonieuws website genaamd Car Journalism. Winter betekent veel indoor auto-evenementen, dus raad eens waar de publicatie van vandaag over gaat 😉

Een gezellige sfeer, een voortreffelijke selectie van klassieke auto's en een gezonde variatie aan exposanten. CLASSIC EVENT Waregem is een vrij klein evenement, maar het is zeer goed georganiseerd. We hebben niet veel kleine auto-evenementen meer en al helemaal niet zo dicht bij huis. Ik waardeerde de relaxte sfeer die het evenement biedt. Een meer intieme setting die goed past bij zondagen en familie.

Het is maandag dus dat betekent nieuwe CarMemoirs content! In dit artikel bespreek ik de nieuwe Mercedes-Benz Belgium SL43 AMG. We hebben maar enkele uren doorgebracht met de wagen dus we bespreken kort de rijeigenschappen, het stuurgevoel en het design. Ook geven we antwoord op de vraag: is deze 4-cilinder nog steeds een echte AMG? Dit markeert de eerste publicatie binnen de categorie Drive&Shoot. Dat wil zeggen dat jullie vanaf vandaag onder elke categorie wel wat leesvoer vinden. Een kleine mijlpaal dus! Geniet ervan. 🏎️

2 weken geleden was het de wettelijke trouw van Lynn & Mieke. 2 prachtige vrouwen met een warm hart. Ze kozen voor Mill Media om deze liefdevolle middag vast te leggen. Ondanks het feit dat ze spontane foto's wilden, hebben we toch een moment genomen om wat foto's te trekken in het prachtige Hotel De Castillion Bruges. Vandaag mochten we hen gelukkig maken met een album en bijhorende website van deze onvergetelijke dag. Proficiat Lynn & Mieke en bedankt voor het vertrouwen!

Na de aankoop van zijn nieuwe wagen stuurde de klant ons op citytrip naar Rotterdam om zijn gloednieuwe Alfa Romeo Stelvio QV te fotograferen. 24 uur & 40 foto's later was dit het resultaat. Uiteindelijk heeft de klant een foto op A1 formaat laten afdrukken. Kan jij raden welke foto boven zijn bureau pronkt?

Helaas werd deze pagina nauwelijks gebruikt dus vanaf vandaag meer content en een realistischer beeld van mijn dagdagelijkse bezigheden. Een eerste post volgt later op de dag.
