On Thursday, SpaceX successfully launched its Starship rocket on an uncrewed test flight to orbit and back, marking several significant firsts.
The rocket is nearly 400 feet tall and the most powerful booster ever built.
The Starship is designed for missions to the moon and, eventually, Mars. It is set to play a crucial role in NASA’s lunar return program, as the agency has chosen it to transport astronauts to the moon’s surface for the Artemis III mission, potentially launching in 2026.
