NGL we’re not even mad about this 🤭

If hashtags were your main growth strategy on Instagram then in all honesty, you were already behind…but NOW it’s really time to ditch the reliance on hashtags. ☠️

If your content is struggling to reach a new audience, a hashtag here or there isn’t going to be the thing to revive it! 😒

In saying that, you can use them if you want, we know habits are hard to break. Just don’t expect them to bring a tonne of visibility your way.

My take on this quote:
It says to me that you should STRONGLY ALIGN with your passion and purpose for your brand, if the work doesn’t excite you and make you feel proud then you’ll probs fkn hate marketing it too…and we can all tell when the vibes are off 🐀 👀

It is also so much easier to market yourself and your brand by being authentically you, by sticking to your brands core values in your external marketing.
Energy is a currency and it is expensive AF to be fake and inauthentic, it takes so much effort to keep up a BS facade and some overhyped white lies. It takes no effort to be yourself and just show up as you are.

People connect to and trust those who are more unfiltered in their marketing approach. ✌️

This will be like a giant incubator for inspiration, ideas, knowledge and networking.

Digital Nomad mode activated 🥥🏝️💻📷📱

Technically it activated when I left North Queensland 2 months ago, but now I’m SO ready for phase 2 of digital nomadding (yes I make up words because I’m weird like that). I’m finally utilising the freedom of being my own boss and taking control of what I want, when I want and where I want. The travel bug in me has been craving international travel for too long 🫠 my soul needs this!

Anyone else feel like those Covid years just blurred together? Can’t believe it’s been 5+ years since my last overseas trip! 😳

So I’m taking my laptop and camera to THAILAND 🌴🇹🇭

I am officially out of office from Monday 22nd July for approximately a month. Returning back to Bunbury, WA some time late August.

Not sure if I’m having some sort of quarter life crisis after turning 30 😂 but since I went on my trip to Cairns I’ve been doing some deep AF reflection and frankly…been feeling pretty s**t house where I’m currently at!

Any business owner will know 👉BURNOUT pops its head up to remind us that we’re not invincible, and that we do in fact have limits. 🙄 I have absolutely reached breaking point in a few aspects of my life which has been impacting my wellbeing and productivity, and so it is time for BIG CHANGE!

𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲! 🤔

I am tired of being out of alignment and not listening to what my body, mind and soul actually wants and needs.

So with that being said, I will be saying goodbye 👋 to in-person client work in Townsville North Queensland in just 5 days time (as of 15th May) and will be RELOCATING Candid Marketing Co HQ *NEW LOCATION TBC* 🫢 after I take time off to reset at home with my family and friends in Western Australia.

Clarifying exactly WTF we mean when we say 👇

“Simple content is the best content”

“Showing up as your most authentic, candid self online is the best way to connect with your audience”

“You don’t need to be an expert at it to make an impact on socials”

“Don’t over edit your content”

“Don’t force it”

❌ When we say these things we ARE NOT giving you permission to create s**t content with absolutely no purpose or intention behind it! We see so much crap on socials that you can tell is an afterthought, and almost feels disrespectful to your audience to serve them utter 💩 on a platter and still expect them to support your business! 🥴

✅ What we ARE giving you permission to do is push aside perfectionism and focus on realism, don’t overthink it to a point where you get analysis paralysis, prioritise feeling good and in flow when you create content not feeling frustrated at it, up-skill and evolve so that it is easier for you to create better quality content that doesn’t feel so hard!

People support businesses and brands who give a s**t about their digital footprint!

Our new motto which I literally just thought of this very second and am now adopting is: IF YOU DON’T KNOW HOW, LEARN FROM SOMEONE WHO DOES. 👀
