The Australia Day Citizenship and Awards Ceremony will kick off with a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony thanks to the generous support of Armidale Aboriginal Cultural Centre and Keeping Place, and will wrap up after 12noon with entertainment and lunch.

Entries for this colourful, creative exhibition will be received this coming Tuesday, 23rd January between 10am and 12noon.
Please make sure all art pieces have the required D Rings and Wire for hanging and have artists name and details on the back.
Entries are $5 for artworks priced under $50 and $10 for over $50.

Did you know that Deepwater Races is one of Australia's oldest racing events?๐
In 1864, Mr. Emmanuel Barratt, (owner of the then Deepwater Hotel), and his friend Mr. William Thomas Cadell (from Deepwater Station on whose land the Hotel was built) came together to hatch a plan for a horse race in 1865.
Little did they know that their idea would become a tradition that endures to this day, as the race continues to be held on the very same grounds of Deepwater Station, 160 years after their visionary decision.
