This month I'm celebrating 20 years in business. Woohoo!
I became an accidental entrepreneur when I embarked on my first co-owned business start up 20 years agoโฆ...With no experience or any technical knowledge in air-conditioning or refrigeration, I became a sales and marketing drive behind the business.
So from non-stop frenzy working as a sales assistant on the floor of textile retailer, then working in an office as a receptionist, to becoming a co-founder of air-conditioning and refrigeration business, owning my cafe in West Perth, to entering and climbing corporate ladder to senior positions, to become a founder of a boutique digital agency, I fell in love with anything to do with business and entrepreneurship.
๐ And now, going through the last 20 years, I can clearly identify at least one secret weapon that has helped me get to where I am.

Weโre in the second quarter of 2021, and if youโre anything like me, you started the year off with a list of big goals.
I was going to write down the list of my goals for this year but hereโs the truth which I havenโt even thought about at all until I started typing this post.
2020 taught me that nothing is guaranteed in life so I gave myself permission to have compassion towards myself and others.
Then 2021 turned up and it didn't back down either.
Life lessons are in session and so far it has taught me loss, pain, grieve and love.
So I got reminded again that I'm here to have a human experience and life is a gift. I got reminded that life has its ups and downs. Iโm not in competition with anyone. I'm here for a short time and today could be the only day I have left.
Don't get me wrong, I love making audacious goals and plans to reach them.
This is my life and my chance to make a difference. I'm always going to make those goals and do everything I can to achieve them however I added another goal to the rest.
And that is to take one day at a time and all I want is to be a day ahead of where I was yesterday.
This year ainโt over yet my friends! I'm going to live it to the fullest and hope you do too.

And back in 2001,opportunities of being in front of my ideal clients using Yellow Pages, newspapers, radio and TV was very limited and the costs were really high.
