Thank you so much November you’ve been amazing and unforgettable❤️🥰
This month I got married to the love of my life, my bestfriend and soulmate, it was the best day ever and we got to see family and friends that we miss and love dearly. We welcomed my brother and my Mama to Australia and this month i celebrated my 15th year in this amazing country I now call home🇦🇺

Mano Po or Pagmamano is a beautiful and respectful tradition of the Philippines and the Filipino People that I will always be proud of and made sure I pass on to my children.

Mano or pagmamano is similar to hand-kissing. It’s performed by a person giving the greeting by bowing down toward the person or the elder or taking his hand or her hand and pressing it on the forehead. This is usually performed with the right hand and the person may ask "Mano po" or “Can I have your blessing?” And the Parent or the Elderly who extends the hand will say Pagpalain ka ng Maykapal or God bless you.
Typically someone may ask for the mano or the honored gesture with an older relative upon entry into their home or upon seeing them. The word “mano” is Spanish for hand, while the word “po” is often used in Filipino culture and language at the end of each sentence as a sign of respect when addressing someone older.

Last weekend I married the love of my life, my bestfriend, my soulmate.
We had a very simple and and intimate garden wedding and when the we were planning how the ceremony would go, I particularly asked the Pagmamano to be included, I may be away from home, we won’t be doing a traditional Filipino wedding, and most of all I don’t have all my family here with us on the wedding day, but doing this one simple gesture made it all up. I paid my respect to my Mama and its paying respect to the whole family and she gave me and us her blessing in behalf of the whole family.

Remembrance Day is one of the most important days on our commemorative calendar. It's a day when we acknowledge those who died while serving in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations. Remembrance Day is held on 11 November each year. This is the anniversary of the Armistice that ended fighting with Germany in World War I. People in Australia, and many other countries, observe 1 minute's silence at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month because that's when the Armistice came into effect. It's a time to honour our service personnel who died in service of Australia.
