More behind the scenes fun from our latest short film ‘Electric Blue’ ⚡️💙 Our shooting location took place at the local 24 hour Caltex, all night scenes over a course of two nights we navigated through high traffic, customers, curious bystanders, police and ambulance. None of it could of been acomplished without our amazing cast and crew. 🩸🎬

Electric Blue’s first screening over the weekend in front of a crowd ⚡️💙! Massive thank you to my amazing fabulous and best dressed cast and crew (minus the people that were already seated when we took the photo and couldn’t make it last night). Once again nothing beats hearing the crowds reaction. Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to send messages. All the love is beyond appreciated! 😘

Very excited to announce our latest short film
‘ELECTRIC BLUE’ will be screened for the first time next week at the Blue Heeler Film Festival .

Post-production is currently in full swing for ELECTRIC BLUE ⚡️💙 Soooooo much work went into this one and I cannot wait for everyone to see it. I’ve been drafting this idea for a while and I finally got to write something in one of my favourite genres inspired by some of my all time favourite movies with incorporating the mythology around ‘blue’. Get excited! 🎥✨

Introducing our actor in the role of Angel 🏙️ Natasha Reynolds they/she

Natasha is a new comer to the film industry. Growing up on Sydney's northern beaches, she was a regular member of school reviews and performances at the prestigious Glenrose Theatre. Natasha has a keen interest in musicals, plays and art and working creatively.

With previous experience in producing short films as well as spending time in community radio, Natasha is a performer who refuses to be pigeon-holed into a single medium. Having found a passion for creative writing and taken up story and screenplay writing.

Natasha also wrote ‘Angel’ during 2021 lockdown, inspired by her own personal experience and hopes to spread awareness of mental health and help others.

Introducing our actor in the role of Brooke 🌌 Kira Woods she/her

An emerging Australian actress, Kira Woods, has been professionally acting since 2017. She has trained extensively at institutions including TAFTA, Les Chantery Studio, The HubStudio and in weekly advanced classes at TrueSCREEN Acting Studio.

She recently was cast in prominent supporting role Ruepelli Griffin in the upcoming TV Pilot Vanni and also played a support role in the 1980’s coming-of-age drama/thriller “Our Friend Flint.” under the direction of Samantha Dennis Serhan and her female-based production company “Midnights Darling Picture Shows”.

Very excited to introduce the extremely talented Ronan Myatt Kane in the role of Oliver.

Introducing our actor in the role of Oliver 🌃Ronan Kane he/him

Ever since growing up Ronan has been influenced by the movies and shows he has watched. This is because of the powerful performances and great writing allowing a beautiful story to ignite his passion of acting. He had taken drama as an elective in high school which strengthened this desire. It wasn’t until the beginning of last year in which Ronan had really decided to begin his acting journey, taking all kinds of classes like, working on camera, scene study, training in Meisner and casting director workshops. He ha: been in multiple short films from last year and some that are to be premiered this year including a feature titled - ‘Christmess’. Ronan is still in class working on his craft consistently. Ronan also takes interest in sports, music and visual arts.

Bonnie Lee Tipper is a sustainable fashion stylist, designer and curator. With over a decade of experience exploring the world of vintage fashion, repairs and alterations she has recently started to also apply her unique skill-set to exciting costume projects.

Introducing our music composer ☁️ Paris Isabella she/they

Paris is a disability advocate and consultant. They also run their own practice as an NDIS Support Coordinator, where they provide a safe space for q***r and neurodivergent people with disabilities. After a six-year hiatus Paris will be making a return to composing publicly with her contributions to Angel.

Paris has been a national composer since she was 13, when she made her compositional debut at the Sydney Opera House, following her first European music tour. She has worked with various orchestras and renowned composers in Australia and the UK. She is excited to be coming back to music with a project that brings together her two loves of advocacy and composition. She hopes Angel will shed light on a more authentic representation of the lived experience of mental health.

Introducing our set assistant 🌓 Lachlan Kerr he/him

Lachlan Kerr is a 16 year old Actor and Musician born and raised between the Central Coast and Hunter Valley region in NSW.

Growing up Lachlan always dreamed of being an actor he also is a massive horror fan who has a passionate love for the films “Scream” and “Halloween” and always imagined being in films like that, Lachlan began chasing his dream of being an actor at 15 years of age when he witnessed scenes being shot for the film “Our Friend Flint” seeing this and taking interest Lachlan reached out to award winning filmmaker writer and director Samantha Dennis-Serhan and offered to help out with the project, after this he landed himself a role in Our Friend Flint as “Drew Russo” Lachlan also took part in Samantha’s 3 time award winning short film “Wild Country” (2022) playing “Wren Walton”
after Wild Country in 2023 Lachlan helped out with sound crew and behind the scenes work for Samantha’s short film” Blood Chipped” and “Angel” Written by Natasha Reynolds.

Lachlan since the age of 5 also had a massive love and passion for music growing up listening to many famous bands like ACDC, Metallica and Foo Fighters, at age 13 in his high school music classes began his journey into the Musicians world by becoming a bassist, overtime he started performing for local primary schools in bands, in 2022 Lachlan eventually found his place in a band as a drummer, him and his 4 other bandmates performed many different rock hits in his high school he attended and even went as far as travelling to Newcastle to perform at HSPA, his most latest performance was performing alongside classic Aussie Icons James Blundell and James Reyne at the “Rock N The Brook” in Muswellbrook 2023.

Sandon is a DOP/Director from NSW, Australia. He has worked professionally in the industry as a Grip and Arm Car technician on sets like Disney, to Wolf like me season 2. Over the last few years he has worked hard at furthering his career landing roles as a DOP and Director on multiple indie films from around NSW.

Introducing our Director ✨ Samantha Dennis-Serhan She/Her ✨

Samantha Dennis-Serhan is an award winning Filmmaker, Writer and Producer born and raised in the Hunter Valley of NSW.

Growing up a homeschooled child in a small town, she was bullied for many years, without friends, but that is where her love for film begun and telling stories started, she always had movies.

Before filmmaking from a young age Samantha began writing, publishing stories online under the name ‘Midnights Darling’ which is now the name of her independent production company ‘Midnights Darling Picture Shows’. She has published various stories online since the age of 14, one story in particular having over 10k reads online where she has even received fan-art from readers overseas and fan trailers for her stories. She has been a beta reader for published authors and one most notably that has over a million reads worldwide.

Through her characters Samantha gives a voice to the darkly disturbed and dysfunctional outcast of society and sheds light by displaying our inner most insecurities in a very real and human manor in hopes her audiences and readers feel seen through the psychology of her characters on a deep level.

As a director Samantha believes it is very important that herself and her actors work as a team bringing such strong, unique and diverse worlds to life bringing relatable emotions. She enjoys going beyond the surface level and allowing her actors to feel apart of the creative process, allowing them bring their own creative spin and ideas into adapting and bringing her characters to life.
