"Tasmania spending per prisoner is the highest of all states. It costs $204,710 to incarcerate one prisoner for one year, or $561 per day, which is approximately 40 per cent higher than the national average cost of $147,890 per year."

Imagine if that money was spent on actually trying to fix a broken system and focusing on mental health and how childhood and generational trauma have a massive effect on perpetuating patterns.

On average we earn less than half of what it costs to hold one person in prison for a year, out of our tax money.

Imagine that money being spent on fixing a system that doesn't work, fixing communities that are broken, and giving people who are generationally shattered, a chance at seeing a new world for the first time in generations.

Imagine.
