Here's something a little bit special...

Back in September 2023, we ran 3 special Lunchtime LIVE shows that presented some of the best moments in the show's history.

The one presented here is the last of those 3 &, in fact, is the very last LTL show that was put to air before the robbery committed at our premises just a week later. It has yet to even appear on our website.

It also serves as a reminder. A reminder that, despite our many haters & bullies, we are dedicated to come back - we may have lost our extensive archives, we may have lost our gear, but we will NEVER lose our passion & spirit!

Questions are being raised about what former Home Affairs Minister & Opposition leader Peter Dutton knew regarding alleged corruption involving the operators of offshore detention centres. Hmmm...a former QLD copper, politically connected, now in hot water over possible corruption? Nahhhh...that couldn't possibly happen...again...

The new QLD Transport Minister is pushing for fare reductions from operators of Brisbane's Airtrain service after attempts to get out of the government contract stalled. Personally, I think the bigger story is the controversy surrounding the service's false advertising in its name - that thing runs on tracks!

On this day, radio serial The Adventures Of Superman began its 11 year run in 1940...look, up in the sky! It's a bird...it's a plane...*SPLAT*...nope, right the first time!

Aussie country legend Chad Morgan turns 91 today. So, Slim is dead, yet Chad's till kicking? There's either something in the water or those folks in Childers ironed out those pesky inbreeding problems...

*** A MESSAGE FROM THE MANAGEMENT ***

First of all, we'd like to wish all of our fans a very happy New Year.

But wait, there's more...

For those of you who may be unaware, in October last year the premises we occupied were robbed. Our entire studio setup, including almost all of our music library, imagery & archival content spanning nearly 10 years was ruthlessly stolen by lowlifes with nothing better to do. This theft also included much of my own personal property & was a devastating blow both personally & professionally. Police are well aware of the details & the people we suspect are responsible, with our hope being that the culprits are dealt with to the fullest extent of the law.

But...there is some good news...

2024 marks the 10th anniversary of VFE, when we started with humble beginnings on the Mixcloud platform & later created the VFE Network group of online stations. We plan to celebrate this milestone in the best way possible - by rising from the ashes yet again!

Many have tried over recent years to take us down (the robbery was just one instance), but this year they will all realise this fact - YOU CAN'T SHUT US UP & YOU WON'T SHUT US DOWN!

More information will be forthcoming in the near future, but one thing we can promise is that there will be some new surprises in store for the fans & haters alike.

In the meantime, I'd like to personally thank all who have reached out & continued to support us any way they can. VFE will be back, bigger than ever - keep watching this space!

Last night, our premises were broken into & our entire studio set up was stolen (along with other items).

Local police have been notified & a formal report made, but it means that VFE is out of action until further notice.

We are absolutely devastated by this event & what it means for the immediate future of our work.

At this time, we will be making no further public statements, as the matter is now in the hands of police.

Hopefully, something good will come of that & we can get back online quickly. Thank you for your patience & understanding.
