Hi all, here's the film clip I mentioned recorded on my new cinema camera.

We had a whole 90 minutes to get in and record a few takes at the Cambridge Observatory before the sun totally went down. The other takes were recorded at my studio with green screen.

This was challenging, limited time with only two musicians for a 5 minute song.

I like the middle section with the guy holding the torch to the sky and wow was that a guitar solo?

For what it is I'm happy with it and hope to build on ideas from here.

Here's an idea for a surprise Christmas present. Imagine having all those old tapes converted to MPEG4 ready to show the family over the Christmas/new year.

It’s real simple, just put them in a box and bring them in. For $25 a tape we can convert and have them ready to watch on a USB.

The Duff TV team is excited about our future as we transition from predominantly capturing sport and events to also filming docos, music clips and people's life stories.

Sport has been good to us, but its become harder and harder making a living from it. Technology is replacing operators and sadly some customers prefer a less sophisticated end product.

That's OK and as one client says "adapt, improvise and overcome." He's right, nothing lasts forever and we must work out ways to survive and keep going.

Here's some stills from our new Canon C400 camera. This baby is a significant investment but wow the images and possibilities with this beast are endless.

Final cut of this film clip will be out soon.
