OUR LOCAL COUNCIL CANDIDATE INTERVIEWS ARE LIVE:

As the elections for local councils approach we are creating a space for our listeners to be able to hear from their candidates.

With 4 councils and multiple wards within the City of Greater Geelong and Surf Coast councils we are streamlining the digital delivery of the candidates’ message.

We have offered all nominated candidates the opportunity to record a 5-7 min interview with one of our presenters.

These conversations are on our website, alongside the interviews of other candidates for the same ward or council.

You can listen and learn about your candidates.

Robert Cameron, David Finlayson and Loretta Hart who lead our Front Page editions Monday through to Wednesday from 9am -11am have interviewed the candidates.

The same questions will be asked to all candidates, the presenters will lead short yet thought provoking interviews.

Congratulations to Robert Eagles who was named among the five Volunteers of the Year awarded tonight.

These awards are presented by Volunteering Geelong, Rotary Club of Kardinia Inc, and Geelong Connected Communities .

Robert was one of 13 finalists and was then selected as one of the 5 overall winners.

We are so pleased to have Robert among our 93 volunteers, all who do their best to make our station loved by the community.

Robert was chuffed to receive the award and made it known he’s not sure who gets the better deal- him or the station.

Voters will be able to listen and learn about their candidates.

Interviews can be booked from Monday 9th of September up until Saturday October 12th. As interviews are recorded they will be uploaded to our website for voters to listen to.
