Love science and films? Join us as a volunteer and help grow this unique science-themed film festival in Canberra! We’re seeking passionate individuals for the following roles:
1. Festival Coordinator
2. Festival Marketing & Publicist

If you have experience in event organising or marketing, we’d love to hear from you. These roles start in January and require just a few hours each month, leading up to the screenings in August. Applicants must reside in Canberra for occasional face-to-face meetings.

While each role has its own primary responsibilities, you’ll work collaboratively in a team to ensure the success of the festival.

We’ll provide full credit for your work, and you’re welcome to include this experience in your portfolio to boost future opportunities. Plus, we’re here to support you in achieving your career aspirations wherever we can.

Come and see our short films SAM and Mum on the big screen. Details below, scroll down. Please read the entire notes before booking. Thank you to both festivals Canberra Short Film Festival and What The Film (WTF) Film Festival for selecting and screening our films in November 2024. Come to one or both festivals, not to only enjoy our films but wonderful indie films from Canberra and around the world. Support our local talent.

Details of where our short films will be screened and how to book:

NOTE 1: for WTF festival they only have the option of booking for the entire day, not each session, you're welcome to attend for the whole day or just come to session where SAM and Mum are being shown. I've attached a screen shot of the program where SAM and Mum are being screened. So schedule accordingly please.

NOTE 2: For Canberra short film festival, unfortunately Mum is not being screened at Dendy Cinema as I believed, it is showing at the Smith's Alternative. It is a Bar in the Civic with a stage/screening space. It may not be afmily friendly venu, if you like attend the WTF festival which is at National Film And Sound Archive which is much more family friendly. However I can't guarantee that all the films shown on the same sessions are G or PG rated, please check with organisers first.

NOTE 3: If you can't attend that's ok, even though it would be great to see you there and be invigorated by your support, as the famous saying goes "Have no fear, Masoud is here". Both Mum and SAM will be released on my Youtube channel SFC Films when film festival screenings have concluded by the end of the year.
