My in-person class in Brisbane begins again on January 20th 2022.

10 session course, once per week, drawing from the n**e artists model. The course covers the fundamentals of three-dimensionality, important anatomical landmarks, design and simplification, and creating movement and flow in your drawings.

Basically what I offer is a sequence of drills to focus your attention on important observational aspects, so that they can gradually be worked together into one understanding of the integrated, which is to say beautiful, figure.

This is an oil painting on board, 30 x 40 cm. I posted this painting last year as an unfinished demonstration piece. Since then I have spend a few more hours to finish it and is now displayed at the Montville Gallery. Of course, all my paintings available are for sale...😏

Sculptors Qld Life Member Margaret Klucis has work on display at the Old Musuem. This new display focuses on Margaret’s unique creative voice as a sculptor, painter, environmentalist and explorer of many art forms and ideas. Margaret has explored many mediums which include bronze, ceramics, glass, stone and hebel, as well as painting and drawing. This display also highlights Margaret’s previous success as a prize winner at the Brisbane Sculpture Festival in 2018. With the Brisbane Sculpture Festival happening again now in its 51st year at Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens, SQ has so much to celebrate in its ongoing support and dedication to promoting sculptors and sculpture in Queensland. I hope you will forgive me for being a bit indulgent, but I’m so excited about my first overseas commission which has arrived in it’s new London home. 🎉🥳Thank you to Aussie ex-pat Megan for entrusting me with the job of creating some Australian summer vibes and for making me an official “international artist”!! In June 2021, Creative Samford Inc is co-ordinating it’s 7th Annual Arts Trail and Open Studios. Their Art Trail stretches across a wide region from Dayboro to Samford Valley and many places in between. Local residents and visitors to the region enjoy the opportunity to visit their artists in their studios and shared spaces, meet the makers, learn about their stories and techniques and enjoy some exceptional art, all whilst experiencing the region’s natural beauty.
