“Welcome to 2020. A new decade.
Wow. What an awesome first year in business for Video Domain. We created over a thousand videos for more than 300 different clients all over Australia. Including Flight Centre, GOMA, Oz Lotto’s Powerball, The Village Festival & Malaysian Airlines.
My previous business before Video Domain was an absolute whirlwind. I’ve travelled all over Australia hiring, training and managing creators and videographers from all types of video-backgrounds. I’ve been a social media advertising key-note speaker for Universities, CoC’s, Councils, Groups and Organisations. The one thing that I’ve found to be the MOST valuable from my experience building a national advertising company in Social & Digital, was getting to know clients all over our beautiful country, each with their own unique strategies, business models and approach to marketing. One thing we’ve all got in common, we are crying out for more business, more clients and sales in general.
That’s what I am most excited about in launching Video Domain - continuing to create effective and strategic video campaigns for all kinds of clients, that will make a huge difference to their bottom line. We are not simply just ‘a video production company’, we are marketing strategy experts, teamed up with creatives. A match made in advertising heaven.
All the best,
- Dylan Webber”
So, what about Video Advertising? Here are 4 quick insights into what you can expect this year when it comes to posting video content across your digital platforms.
Social Video levels the playing field for businesses of all, and any, sizes. This is something that you need to get amped about. Social video gives SME businesses a massive chance to level the playing field when it comes to competing with corporate giants. Not long ago, it was only the biggest of brands with the biggest of budgets that were able to get the most attention and sales, with big cinematic productions and ad campaign spends. But today, your businesses videos can live right beside the videos of ASX 100 companies.
Instagram Video is skyrocketing - in stories and feed. 2018 was a big year for Instagram, with more and more businesses taking the plunge. But that was just the beginning. 2019 is Insta’s time to shine, and video is going to be a big part of it. Video is resonating with consumers on Instagram to the point that they’re purchasing. Why is there such a big opportunity for businesses on Instagram? Unlike other social platforms, where visitors typically interact with the friends, families, and businesses they follow, Instagram offers a big opportunity for getting discovered. And when you’re not capturing attention through videos posted in the feed, you can be engaging with customers and potential customers in Insta Stories.
Brands will continue to communicate more regularly through video. Every year reveals that customers are watching more video than they did the last, and 2019 will be no different. Customers say video is the #1 type of content they like to see from brands and, as more brands and businesses realise this, they’ll be incorporating even more video into their marketing throughout your customers path-to-purchase. Video can be used up front to drive awareness, with interesting, educational, inspiring, and entertaining content, strategically made to capture attention and share. But video isn’t just about awareness. It can be used to showcase your expertise and answer common questions for customers still deciding whether to do business with you, or close the deal with a video ad featuring a direct call to action to purchase your services or product.
B2B Brands will begin to embrace video on social media. Last but not least, let’s talk about B2Bs—businesses selling to other businesses. Until now, video has been largely used by brands and businesses that are selling to consumers. However, LinkedIn native video is changing the game. According to LinkedIn, video content is shared 20x more than other content formats in the LinkedIn feed. And that’s not all. LinkedIn video ads are generating view rates close to 50%. There’s a huge opportunity for B2B businesses to reach new potential clients with videos like the following.
