Wow!! 27K followers! It’s honestly incredible to see how this community has grown, and we just want to say a massive THANK YOU to each and every one of you. Your support, encouragement, and interaction mean the world, and I truly appreciate you being here for the journey.

From the early days to where we are now, it’s been an adventure full of challenges, wins, and plenty of learning curves. Whether you’ve been here from the start or just joined recently, we are truly grateful for you all.

Today’s a reminder of just how lucky we are to have each other, not just as husband and wife, but as best mates, business partners, adventure buddies, and everything in between. Through the highs and lows, the big dreams and the wild ideas, we’ve tackled it all side by side.

Building Agora Hideaway raising two incredible kids, and taking on every challenge that comes our way, none of it would be the same without each other. Life isn’t always easy, but having the right person to share it with makes all the difference.

We’re absolutely stoked with a little caravan hack we came up with while playing around in our new TORUS caravan! The joys of having a mattress that folds in half opens up so many possibilities, and one of our favourites is turning our queen-size bed into a lounge setup.

It’s as simple as folding the mattress, and voilà a super comfy spot to relax, watch some telly, or just hang out with the family (or Bella, who seems to love it as much as we do!).

This setup gives us the perfect mix of practicality and comfort in a small space. Who says you can’t have the best of both worlds in a caravan?

We can't believe our little Bella is already 12 months old! Time has flown by, and we couldn’t be happier with how she has fit into our lives. Bella is incredibly affectionate and super intelligent, always eager to learn new tricks and be by our side.

Her gentle nature and playful spirit have brought so much joy to our family. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more well-behaved and loving pup. Here’s to many more adventures and cuddles with our sweet Bella! ❤️🐾

If you’ve ever experienced the phenomenon of cicadas in full swing, you know how unforgettable it is! We’ve recently been surrounded by their incredible chorus, and this video captures just how intense their presence can be!

Cicadas are truly fascinating creatures, and we’re so grateful to have experienced this phenomenon here at Agora Hideaway. It’s even more special knowing this is the first time in 13 years that cicadas have emerged in our region in such large numbers!

Their buzzing symphony has been part of the unique soundtrack of summer on our property, but as their reign comes to an end, we’re reflecting on how extraordinary their visit really is.

We are so pumped to share the progress on our brand-new shed! Over the New Year, we were lucky enough to have some good friends Nadia & Graham join us with their 4 kids for a few days to help kick-start the build. None of us had any prior shed-building experience, so it’s been quite the challenge, but an awesome one at that!

In just three days, we’ve managed to get the frame up and make some serious progress. Honestly, we’re super proud of how far we’ve come already. There’s still plenty to go, but now it’s just down to me and Sian to finish this off. 💪🏼

This shed will be a game-changer for Agora Hideaway giving us some much-needed storage and workspace as we keep growing this place. Massive thanks to our mates for their help, it’s been an unforgettable way to start the year.

Here’s to tackling the rest of the build and seeing this come to life!

Lake St Clair Park 📍NSW

Lake St Clair Park was one of our first stops in the new van, and what a way to kick things off! This stunning location offered plenty of space to camp, and we were lucky enough to snag a spot right next to the water. Waking up to those serene lake views through the window each morning was nothing short of magical.

The park has everything you need for a great stay. Amenities, a playground for the kids, a dump point plus plenty of bins. If you’ve got a boat, you’re in for an extra treat with plenty of water to explore.

At $48 per night for 2 adults and 2 kids, it was a fantastic spot for the whole family.

We’re absolutely stoked to announce that we’re back with a brand-new caravan, it’s a TORUS RV Kakadu 19.6ft. This has been something we’ve been talking about for a while. Having the freedom to hook up, disappear for weeks (or even months), and fully embrace life on the road again, we’ve missed it!

Here’s a fun fact: Torus RV are the manufacturer of our very first van when we hit the road all those years ago. It’s been incredible to watch their journey and growth over the years, and now we’re beyond excited to be part of that story again.

This van is our ultimate weekender and getaway setup, perfect for quick escapes or long adventures. We’re already gearing up to put it to the test with some big trips planned for next year, Cape York being one 🤘🏼

Here’s to new horizons, discovering new places and making unforgettable memories!

Table Mountain 📍South Africa

Table Mountain is one of the oldest mountains in the world, with incredible views of Cape Town & surrounding ocean it’s truely a beautiful experience. Having 2x options of getting to the top, first one being a cable car which will set you back around $35 aud per adult or the second option being if you’re feeling fit you can hike the huge mountain by foot. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who attended the Gootchie Creek Retreat Campout. We had an amazing time catching up with familiar faces and forging new friendships. The convoy to Theebine Hotel was truly incredible, as always. Witnessing that many cars together was a fantastic experience. To be precise, we had a convoy of 24 cars! A massive shout out to the hotel for hosting us and providing a great feast for the crew. They handled everything with style and without any issues. If you haven't been there yet, Theebine Hotel is definitely a top pub to check out! We would like to express our deep gratitude to Gootchie Creek Escape for the breathtaking location and for assisting us in organizing this memorable Campout. They supplied us with an abundance of timber for the largest fires we have ever had. They also arranged rides for the kids to feed the cows and even organized a treasure hunt! A special thank you goes out to the bands, Darcy Kate & Cora and Lochie who joined us in the evening around the fire and brought everyone together with their incredible music. Live music is an essential part of the Campout experience! Lastly, but certainly not least, we want to thank all of you legends who showed up. Your support means the world to us, and it's truly amazing to be part of such a fantastic community of like-minded people. This event is a remarkable way to connect and meet new individuals. The best part is that we have decided to continue hosting future Campouts going forward! We don't want this to end, and we eagerly anticipate organizing more events in the southeast Queensland area. Bogan Weir📍NSW This location was a highly recommended one from our amazing followers on the socials. After putting out the word for some killer campsites, this was definitely a very popular one. I can certainly see why it’s so loved in the area, the large body of water is very appealing when the days are hot but also the large open areas to camp is a winner. The kids enjoyed blowing up the floaty’s and spending a lot of time swimming in the weir. Nyngan Weir Bogan River📍NSW After dropping Sian off to the airport, the kids & I decided to go west and checkout some towns & see what we could find. We stumbled across this sweet free camp by the water just 5mins outside of Nyngan. It was a very hot day when we arrived so to have the water at our doorstep was very inviting. The kids & I made the absolute most of it lol Toilet facility & bins located at the camp made for a nice little stop. We had a great time fishing and relaxing by the water. “The Dish” CSIRO Observatory📍NSW If your travelling through the Parkes region we would suggest putting the visitors centre on the list as they have a lot of great history and a dedicated Elvis museum. Also in the area is “The Dish” CSIRO Observatory, which was actually a lot of fun & interesting not only for us but the kids too. They had a lot of fun interacting with all the toys and learning some fun facts. They have a cafe on site with a playground for the kids. It’s not something you have the opportunity to see up close, it’s such a huge satellite in person but we really enjoyed it. Hassans Walks lookout📍NSW If your visiting the Lithgow area & enjoy a drive to see a great vantage point of the beautiful landscapes in the region, we would suggest Hassan’s Walls Lookout. Only 10mins out of town,,you’ll find a dirt road that will take you 1,100m above sea level to the lookout. There is a large walking platform that will take you right out and give you a stunning view of the landscape. Hot tip: before you walk out onto the platform, if you look to your right you’ll see a small dirt walking track behind the gardens and picnic tables. Bendeela Camping Reserve📍NSW We finally found a location that has a large number of friendly wombats! It’s been a struggle for us to find a wombat in the wild (that’s not roadkill) so after this recommendation we were quick to visit. Located 10mins outside of Kangaroo Valley you’ll find this incredible spot. It’s owned by NSW Water and they have space available for people to come camp in huge numbers. With a capacity of 1000 people, it’s a popular spot by the river with large open grass fields to pull up on. The huge highlight of this spot isn’t the large open areas to camp but the wildlife that calls this place home. During the day you’ll have kangaroos & kookaburras kicking around but then of an evening you’ll have the pleasure of seeing owls & wombats. You’re guaranteed to see multiple wombats of a night, plus feeling them rub against the stabilizer legs of the caravan while you sleep! 😂 The best part for the kids was packing torches and going exploring after dinner on sunset. The wombats really are amazing to watch as they walk around the camp grounds and so friendly, letting you get quite close for a good look at them.
