The Issue 03 launch was hectic! Thanks to everyone who came out and supported the next instalment of No Order Magazine!

It was awesome to have another sold out show this year and meet so many new creatives!

We interviewed Matthew Newkirk () for Issue 03 of No Order!

His work speaks about how information and media are delivered and consumed in contemporary society. Matt has a practice that spans over 20 years, and has recently finished his PhD.

Although he’s currently doing a three month long residency in Korea, he will have work in the exhibition on Saturday!

We interviewed , a large-scale muralist, a few months ago for Issue 03.

We talked about how he began his career, his influences and advice for muralists. He had some really insightful things to say about working with the council in the commercial mural game, along with things he wish he knew at the beginning of his career.

I had the privilege to interview Falco ( ) and Jordan () as for Issue 03 of No Order Magazine.

It was interesting to hear about their journey as painters coming from graffiti backgrounds, along with how the little, everyday things in nature inspire them. Something that particularly stood out is their ability to blend their unique painting styles together into one cohesive design. We talked about their process and funny tales from jobs, along with how they work with clients and the council as muralists.

It is a very interesting read, especially if you’re looking to get into the large-scale mural game. Issue 03 comes out on the 16th of September!

We interviewed multidisciplinary artist and mental health advocate, Madelaine Buttini ( ) in her home studio last July. She specialises in hand cut and digital collage art (and also runs a badass podcast too called ). Her work has been featured in a wide range of magazines like Vice and has exhibited internationally, most notability in New York and throughout the east coast of Australia.

We talked about her practice, process and her story. Her work explores femininity and flora in the context of the relationships around her. You can read all about it in her interview for this issue!

Ruth Cho is an emerging printmaker and artist based in Brisbane (Meanjin) who explores themes of cultural identity, hybridity and postcolonialism in her art practice. She graduated from the Queensland College of Art with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Major in Print Media) in 2018 and with Honours in 2020.

Through the printed image, she examines the complexities of living with a cross-cultural background and the challenges it poses in the socio-political sphere. Ideally, she aims to
find common ground and promote harmony between cultures in an increasingly diversified world where boundaries are becoming obsolete. She is currently exhibiting in galleries within the Brisbane area.

We interviewed Kaput () for the upcoming issue of No Order.

Originally from Vancouver, Kaput is an artist that has been involved with graffiti writing for over 25 years. He mainly focuses on painting, illustration and mural works.

We interviewed multidisciplinary artist Rhys John Kaye ( ) in his Melbourne studio last June. He specialises in large-scale paintings and illustrations with imagery that draws from his experiences with love, life, death and freedom.

We talked about his practice, travelling and the mesh between graffiti, street art and the fine art world. He has a unique perspective on the world, which is evident in his work.

Ella Senbruns is a Sunshine Coast artist who works between mixed-media drawing, painting and murals. With a striking and distant style, Ella’s strong understanding of dynamic, whiplash linework morphs and transforms her images into fantastical and unexpected compositions. These artworks are often surreal, colliding the body with natural motifs to explore the strange no man’s land between beauty and discomfort.

In 2021 Senbruns graduated from a Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) at the Queensland College of Art. She has since worked as a studio artist, muralist and life drawing instructor.

Personally, I love the whimsical nature of her work, specifically in her application of aerosols.

Meet James Hornsby, a contemporary artist whose photography and video art redefine the boundaries of creativity. To celebrate the launch of the highly-anticipated third issue of No Order Magazine, we are hosting an exhibition featuring the work of 12 multi-disciplinary and street artists from the east coast of Australia.

The self-titled exhibition features a selection of canvas works from contributors, a mixed-media installation by James Hornsby and mural installation by Gus Eagleton, accompanied by sound from Shxovel (DJ).

Excited to announce that Issue 03 of No Order Magazine will be launching at on the 16th of September!

Over the past 6 months, we have been working closely with a curated group of unique artists situated along the east coast of Australia. Issue 03 is over 112 pages packed with artworks, murals and exclusive interviews, all bundled up into a tangible archive.

We will be throwing an exhibition to celebrate Issue 03, featuring each contributor’s work, alongside sound from (DJ) + other goodies.
