Our Story
Magic Carpet Ride is a weekly radio show broadcast on Braidwood FM in the rural town of Braidwood, New South Wales, Australia focussing on the Woodstock era. It is presented by veteran broadcaster Cool Bill and airs every Wednesday night from 7pm. The program is also streamed live via the radio station’s website at http://www.braidwoodradio.com.au/ .
This page has been established to support the program as well as for dissemination of music clips and stories about the far out music of the 1960s and early 1970s. In other words it is focussed on spreading the soundtrack of hippiedom. The vast majority of the music posted here has been broadcast on the radio show. We hope you dig it!
