South Australians, get ready, the wild weather is on its way! 🌧️

⛈️The Bureau of Meteorology have issued a SEVERE WEATHER WARNING for people in Adelaide Metropolitan, Mount Lofty Ranges, West Coast, Eyre Peninsula, Yorke Peninsula, Flinders, Mid North, Kangaroo Island, Riverland, Murraylands, South East and parts of North West Pastoral and North East
Pastoral districts

⚡ A vigorous cold front will enter the far west of the state early Tuesday afternoon. The front will continue to move east during Tuesday, reaching the eastern districts during the evening.

Damaging wind are forecast to ease briefly from the west on Wednesday before increasing again on Wednesday night as another trough moves across the Great Australian Bight.

👉The SA State Emergency Service advises that people should:

* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.

COUNCIL ELECTIONS: Are you enrolled to vote in the November 2022 Council Election? If you are enrolled to vote for state elections within SA, you are already included on the council voters roll and will receive ballot papers in the mail in October.

If you are not enrolled on the state electoral roll, you may still be eligible to register on the council voters roll if are a landlord, business lessee or a resident non-Australian citizen with the City of Burnside.

If you are a temporary resident, an international student, a business owner or a PR, you can also enrol to vote for the upcoming Council Election.


Council is apolitical and non-sensitive in nature, your Local Council is responsible for roads, rates, and rubbish in your local area.

To be able to vote in the upcoming election in November, please enrol and submit the form before 25 July 2022,

To enrol, simply:

1. Go to your local council website;
2. Search the enrol to vote page;
3. Download the relevant form(s);
4. Complete the form;
5. Return the completed form to the Council;
6. Contact the Council after one week of returning the form, and obtain a confirmation that you are now on the Council roll and eligible to vote in October/November (Please do not miss this step);

Once you have done this, please expect the ballot paper to be sent to the you by post, between 14 October and 20 October 2022.
