Confined to a small apartment in Yerevan, Armenia at the Covid-19 pandemic’s peak, Arthur Aghadjanians was seeking a way to pass the time. The world was at a standstill. Amid the quiet, Arthur had a creative inspiration. One day before severe lockdown began, he walked into a local music shop and bought a guitar. It was time to reignite the passion of his youth: music. For weeks, Arthur tinkered wi

th the new guitar, sculpting riffs, refining melodies. Within two months, he’d written enough songs for an EP and began to envision something big. Teaming up with local musicians, Arthur brought his songs to life in the recording studio. Soon this collaboration gained momentum of its own. Quarantine had devastated the musical community in Armenia, and Arthur’s project offered a vital space for bringing the culture back to life. The project — called Levels High in honor of chasing out-of-reach dreams — drew all kinds of musicians, who came to record with Arthur’s small but growing team. Driven by a desire to share their music more broadly, the Levels High collective launched Carpet Jam in early 2021. Recording out of the historical Composers Union in central Yerevan, Carpet Jam is more than just a platform; it's a comprehensive hub for artists and performers to showcase their talents and creativity. Whether you're in the business of managing performing artists, or you're passionate about arranging and conducting mesmerizing concerts, we've got a stage for you here. But that's not all; we're not just about the music. “My profession is construction but my passion is music. True happiness and satisfaction for me is when I construct something from zero. Thank god I have the opportunity to enjoy both here - where I'd like to call Home”. Here's a story! I’m Arthur, a builder who spent his adult life in USA and came to Yerevan last year, fell in love with Motherland and decided to return and make my huge dream come true. So I bought a land and started planning its development. Well, wouldn’t you know it, Covid-19 came along! What to do? No friends, no relatives… And only quarantine came to my birthday on March 17!! So I gave myself a gift - bought a guitar to keep me company. I played all night long and a beautiful song was born. Writing music suddenly starts taking a new life. Quarantine brought me loneliness but music and the excitement of writing my first song brought me happiness. Then I wrote another one, and more and more. And yes, luck also came in to play! Not long after, I met a great local musician Ghazaryan Hayk who’s also a good friend now. He took my hand and guided me towards the world of recording and introduced me to the most amazing Yerevan musicians. I was really happy Doesn’t life have the most amazing twists and turns sometimes?
