Pathum Artist Brief Extract 6

Name: Nigel 'aGuiLa' Torindo

Age: 26 years old

Rapper, Sound Engineer

Labelled by the stable's affiliates as "Pathum Head Honcho", aGuiLa's antics behind the mic run up to seven (7) years and having been actively a rapper since 2013 (which saw him representing Mutare performing at the 2014 edition of the Zim Hip Hop Awards) and having a battle rapper background, this you can tell from his delivery and wordplay. He released his debut Album 'The Perfect Grey' in the year 2015 on September 1st (link to steam Album: https://www.reverbnation.com/aguilla)
The avid lad also went on to work with Mutare based producer C Bleech , again, after being impressed by the talent that possessed the then twenty-one (21) year old in 2016. aGuiLa penned another EP under C Bleech's belt. Produced by Seengy and C Bleech, aGuiLa's EP 'Lucid' tells the story of a young man's pursuit of fame, while forsaking all that he should be holding more dear and eventually losing his life, only to have a "Lucid" realization that it was all for naught.

In the EP, aGuiLa also brought some friends along in the form of Saint aka Sean Free, Chana, KXD, Sci-Fi Flow and the songstresses Zoe and Kelly who all hail from the Eastern Highlands capital of Mutare.

The Africa University Alumni realized the need for promoting more music from Mutare and led the brains behind the conceiving of Pathum Records in early 2018, an independent record label. Soon after the establishment of the stable, recording a duet album titled 'Pathum Place' commenced with Pathum Record's in-house producer 'TuPoetiK' AND rapper Arthur Kay on board (hit the following links to stream the album: https://audiomack.com/pathummusic/album/pathum-place & https://soundcloud.com/user-861988160/sets/pathum).
On the 18th of January 2018, a single from the album titled 'Take Time' was released on Manicaland's DIAMOND FM (click link to stream premiere on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mz9Kh8AOWE) and the single received positive reviews across Mutare. Pathum Place gained nationwide recognition and earned a Zim Hip-Hop Awards 2020 nomination in the Best Group/Duo Category, a positive stride by the label. In 2019, aGuiLa recorded a full album under Pathum Records which he gave the tittle 'GuiLaBron' depicting his fondness for the LA Lakers' shooting guard Lebron James. Kelly "Kemzzy Zayn" Zenda

Age: 23 years old

Singer

Pathum's very own soothing voice who always goes with her "one bae policy" chant every time she hits the studio booth! Kemzzy love for art has reached a height in her career (still in its infancy though!) were she has become "that one person who vibes with whatever is rocking" as long as she's feeling it. The talented young lady has been under Pathum Records since its birth and she took to heart her first collaboration, under Pathum Records, when she featured on aGuiLa's single 'Up N Down' released sixteen (16) months ago on 02.08.2019 (hit the link to stream video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYI0TZQfliw; links to stream audios: https://soundcloud.com/aguila263/up-n-down-extended-album) Open minded on a bit of rap music too, Kemzzy Zayn dialed down briefly on music to peruse her studies with Mutare Polytechnic and her hiatus won't be for long as she is looking forward to finish up on her first EP under the Pathum stable.

Kudakwashe 'Tripple K*K' Kelvin Kamera

Rapper

Ordinarily uses the tag 'Top Dogg' in Zim Hip-Hop circles and has been doing the rounds in Mutare's Hip-Hop arena since the year 2011. A Mutare Boys High School Old Boy, who resides in the mining town of Penhalonga, his love for the Eastern Highlands never faded despite staying in Harare's Cranborne suburb for 10 years where he discovered his rapping prowess at the age of fifteen (15) years. Since then, up until reaching his late 20s, he "...headed straight for makomo, M-town kumahills, where the magic happens!" Top Dogg joined Pathum Crew during the infancy of 2018 after showing interest in the stable's strategic imperatives and this then led him to pen a whole album under stable which was released on 15.03.2020 (hit the following links to stream Album: https://audiomack.com/pathummusic/album/bness-pleasure &/ https://soundcloud.com/topdogg_zw/live-on-poetik-fm-ft-tupoetik?in=topdogg_zw/sets/top-dogg-bness-pleasure) titled 'B'ness & Pleasure'. Marvin Torindo

Age: 22 Years Old

Rapper

Marvin "Torey" Torindo was last seen in the Pathum studio booth in the early days of the year 2019 soon after being admitted at UNIVERSITÄT LEIPZIG in Germany where he aspires to be an Actuary. Marvin ended up dropping the tag 'Torey', "...because there's already Tory Lanez so I'll just go by Marvin Torindo!".
Marvin's officially released tracks are when he featured on Pathum Place Volume 1 album on the track 'Snitches' (hit the link to listen:

He has got a couple of unreleased joints with aGuiLa and looks forward to be "perfecting" them for release in the second quarter of 2021. Currently, Marvin's working on a full body of work and has been operating with several stables in Germany to have quite a number pieces done.

Simbarashe Donald "Chana Chenyika" Mdokwani

Age: 28 years

Singer

Pathum's R&B crooner who uses the tag "Chana", has been doing the rounds in Mutare's musical arena since the year 2011. During the two year period of 2011 to 2012, he released his debut single titled "6-6am" (link for streaming: https://soundcloud.com/c-bleech/6-6am-seengy-feat-chana-kxd) under Mutare's renowned producer C. Bleech's project, "In between time". Prior to his four (4) year hiatus from music in the year 2015 to work on a professional career as a Chef, the lad had been responsible for the killer pre-chorus in Moudii's hit single 'So Fine' (link for streaming: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cH-mnOpYWF4)

After showing interest in the Pathum Records stable at the beginning of 2019, he was taken on board after featuring on the single 'Usambotye' off of aGuiLa's project (link to stream PROMO Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcjjsWyO7wM). He, eventually released his debut EP 'Ndini Chana' on the14th of February 2020 under the stable and it received positive remarks countrywide (links to stream Ndini Chana EP:

Two titles 'Pour One' and 'Stay Lit' have been shared by the crooner for the year 2021 and official release dates are set to be announced. Chana and Sean Free are looking forward to become a duo within the Pathum Family as they now have quite a number of projects they are currently working on together in Harare for 2021.

Uses the moniker "Sean Free" in the musical circles, a bon fide member of Pathum Crew, a charismatic lad who prefers taking his time in the booth and an enthusiast behind the camera. Sean Free has not released music under his belt as yet but assures that "...there's a boiling pot in the kitchen!" Pathum is Hip-Hop/R&B/Soul Group, which is based in the Eastern Highlands city of Mutare. It was conceived in 2018 after realising the need to promote music from the City. The growth of the label was accelerated by the successful release of a 11 track album, Pathum Place, by aGuiLa, Arthur Kay and TuPoetik. Since then, the continuous success of the album has drawn various artists, producers and other affiliates from Mutare to the Pathum stable making it more influential everyday.
