Craneshaw Heights MajimbosCraneshaw Heights Majimboswas formed in December 2008 as an arts group and then registered as an arts organisation in 2012 under the name Craneshaw Heights Trust.The group was comprised of 10 members.Craneshaw operating throughout the whole of Zimbabwe as per need of it's services by the societies of Zimbabwe specialising in dance and drama,Most of our themes are in line with issues such as Child abuse, Gender based violence, drug abuse,HIV and Aids among other social issues.As such it has been a vital too to make such issues to be known to the masses.
C.H.M is one of the major arts group in Mashonaland west who assist the community in understanding arts as an industry and information dissemination tool.

The importance of Arts
(a)Entertainment
Arts in Zimbabwe Society has become vital forms of entertainment to the ppl.There are different dance and drama groups in Zimbabwe which perform to entertain ppl.some of the groups are even invited to various gatherings to entertain ppl who would have gathered.for instance Majimbos performed at Red cross National Youth Camp countries present; Zimbabwe, Denmark,Botswana and Finland,Malawi, USA, Zambia,South Africa ,Spain and Canada ,we performed at Zimbabwe National Youth games, Zimbabwe Congress of trade union,16 Days of activism, Better schools Programs,Wold Aids Day,World T.B day,Cholera Awareness Campaigns, different night clubs across Zimbabwe not forgetting National Arts Merit Awards (N.A.M.A) 2011 Edition and still kicking.In Harare First street there are various street theater groups which perform at an open space to entertain the audience, Television and the radio plays which are aired to the public also a form of entertainment.Most of ppl spend a lot of time watching television and listening to the radio.Arts has opened an avenue to ppl who are talented in those areas as form of employment.To be continue.......
