Two years ago we put a call for mentorship for upcoming writers under 30. This would run for 3mnths with weekly sessions for free being run by our founder, the award winning author and publishing coach miss Faith Chipangura. And amongst the applicants was one Chiedza Nyanyiwa. Today we are here to celebrate this fireball on her first publication.

It makes us proud to see our alumni achieve her set goal and do this with the publisher of choice! Congratulations dear and thank you trusting us with work.

This book addresses existential crises standing firmly on biblical principles and teachings. Chiedza is a sound teacher of the word, and the mysteries and revelations in this book speak volumes.

We did a thing earlier this week… we do not give because we have, but we give because there is a need. As part of our corporate social responsibility our founder Faith Chipangura stopped by the The City of Harare library Mabelreign branch to donate 28 copies in a bid to promote a reading culture especially by local authors. Having benefited from a school library in her early years, she understands what this means to both the library and the beneficiaries of these books.

One book at a time, we aim to transform our local communities.

As much as we all believe as writers we were born to tell stories, along the way we need tips on how to keep it going and get better at it.

Well, we coined 26 expert writing tips that we would like to share with you writers in this new year. What fits like a glove, wear with pride; what doesn’t ignore and keep it going.

Here goes PART 1:

26 Expert Writing Tips
1. Story is what truly grabs readers.
2. Establish a reading habit that matches what you hope to write and publish.
3. Always be learning.
4. Start your broadcast channel as soon as you can to build an audience either on WhatsApp, email or social media.
5. The real meaning of writing comes from the words flowing from your fingertips.
6. Write a lot and get critiqued occasionally.
7. Writing is more about the Journey than the destination.
8. Publish your work online (even if it's not perfect.
9. Take your time but be careful of procrastination.

It is not only a new day! It’s a new week, a new month and a new year! For us to see real tangible progress and change, a lot more has to change.

It is my hope we learn to do 3 things very well in this new year:
• that we learn to listen to understand, not to respond!

Time and again life in itself speaks to us, instead of stopping to listen to understand we rush to give an answer. In this new year, may we be students of life that seek to understand more than responding.

• that we learn to follow instructions!

The second thing life gives us is a lot of instructions to follow. Sometimes we want to be wise in our own ways which turns out to be foolishness. This year, let’s do it differently follow instructions.

• and finally learn to answer questions!

In answering questions, may our yes be a complete yes and no be a firm no with no further explanations or a long narration. In the end, it is what it is! Answer questions as life requires you to.

I hope these 3 things help me grow in this new year. I wish you a prosperous year ahead filled with good tidings. May 2024 be kind and gentle to you.

Oh what a year it has been! As we come to a close and take a break, we wanna take a moment to appreciate and congratulate these amazing authors who trusted us with their work.

The publishing process is one sensitive part of a book birthing which requires lots of patience and understanding from both the author and the publisher. These five chose and trusted us to bring their work and voices out with clarity.

… AWARDS NIGHT PART 2 (final)

Heyaaa… we have been taking a moment to digest the great awards night we recently hosted.

We honoured publishing royalty and paid homage to Weaver Press’s Irene Staunton for dedication and contribution to the publishing with a career that has spanned for 4 decades! She received a well deserved lifetime achievement award.

Another honorary of the night was Khumbulani Bandula Muleya for his contribution towards the literary arts industry development through his work at Intanga hub and various platforms.

Our biggest winner of the night was Dwight Thepublishedauthor who walked away with the people’s choice award, winner in the inspiration category and author of the year award! Brother scooped up everything.

Theophilus Tawonashe did his thing and delivered amazing work and warmed up the house.
