As many of you will know from recent press coverage, Weaver Press is closing down. After 25 years of publishing in Zimbabwe we decided to cease trading with effect from the beginning of this year. The main reasons – aside from our overdue 'retirement' – are the serious decline in book sales, the increase in self-publishing, and the attraction of the country's literary writers to overseas publishers. We depart the scene with a measure of regret, of course, but also with a sense of achievement, and with fond memories of the support we've received from our authors, and our readers. Thank you all.
