Mthokozisi Mabhena recently completed the construction of toilet blocks at Mutanhaura Secondary School in Goromonzi Ward 3, under Chief Chinamhora and Headman Shumba. The handover ceremony took place yesterday.
These new toilets are a much-needed relief for the school, which had been unable to obtain an examination center number from the Ministry of Education due to insufficient restroom facilities. As a result, the school had to seek alternative examination centers for its students, which posed significant challenges and risks, particularly for female learners who had to navigate through wooded and mountainous areas.
The construction process was not without difficulties, as some individuals opposed to development repeatedly vandalized the newly built walls during the night. This behavior has been strongly condemned by community leaders.
The leadership in the Goromonzi community has expressed their appreciation to Mthokozisi Mabhena for his commitment to giving back and contributing positively to the community.
