Sub theme:
*Will you be ready when the bridegroom comes.?*

Text: Matthew 25v1-13

The conference sub theme is a good theme.
WILL YOU BE READY WHEN THE BRIDEGROOM COMES?
Key word is =ready
Defined as: prepared for immediate action or use.
Example: in athletics, when someone is running they run properly in their lane.
The coordinators take the athletes through stages.
1.on your marks....means be settled and focused.
Hebrews 12, we are surrounded by such a great cloud.....let us run the race.
2. Get ready/ Get set...signifying about to take off.No looking to the left or the right but straight ahead depending on your race.
Each must know their race and keep to their track .
We must know why we have come to church,/the kingdom.
Missions are different.
Some came for money, marriage, children.
But we must all Get ready!
The church must get ready.

In athletics the race coordinator may use a whistle or a gun.
Definitely *Go* stage 3 is coming, the trumpet will sound.
Are you ready church?
Will you be ready?
Our years theme:Preparing ourselves for the second coming.

Why did Jesus come and go leaving us behind?
He came do deliver us.
We were undeserving but Jesus in His first coming came to give us the right.
He left us so that we could be qualified by the HOLY SPIRIT through his in dwelling and teaching so that when HE comes back we can be presented ready before the father.
JOHN 14.:let not your hearts be troubled.....i prepare a place for you in my fathers house.
The church is preparing and HE ALSO is preparing a place for us.

In HIS first coming he came as a SUFFERING SERVANT.
In HIS second coming HE IS A TRIUMPHANT SERVANT.
ON 1st he is on a donkey
On 2nd on horses
On 1st he was son of man
On 2nda a son of God.
1st a tthe rock comforter
2nd a judge and grinder
1st a child of God
2nd he comes to rule with power.
He is coming back again.
Therefore be ready.
Mathew 24: Jesus shows the disciples the end times.

The kingdom of God is likened to the 10 virgins.
_Jewish manners and customs_
You were supposed to marry a virgin, pure and holy.
The reason why Joseph determined to put away Mary privately.
On the marriage ceremony, You were supposed to have:
A light and or a lamp.
The virgins were all aware of the requirements.
The 5 wise took the lamps with their oil.
The 5 foolish took lamps and not enough oil.
The b.groom tarried, but tarrying is not forfeiting.
They all slumbered.Including those with not enough oil.
Be careful not to slumber and miss the b.groom .
At midnight, HE CAME.
The wise woke up with their light.
The foolish woke up and could not put on their light, they were virgins but had no oil.
The chldren of Isachar new the times, redeem the time for the days are evil.
The foolish tried to borrow from the wise but they could not get assistance.
Say no to mediocre preparation or procrastination.
The oil is the HOLY SPIRIT.
We need the holy spirit always.
He teaches, guides and perfects us.
Are you ready?
Christ is coming.

Giving
Praying
Alms giving

We have been giving the instructor, the counsellor, he does so in our environment,
He teaches us amongst those of our kith and kindred.
He shows us what is good and bad.
He trains us in all truth.
He trains us in holiness.
In the midst of the carnal world we must live as He instructs.

We must remain resolute focused despite those things around us.
Tine kwatirimuenda.
We have no excuse whatsoever, we have the Holy Spirit.
In a cultural dowry ceremony.
After the b.groom says he will come back.
The virgin and her aunties and sisters will have picked money.
The aunts instruct her to use the money to buy monarch bag, and new clothing, sheets, blankets,etc as a form of preparation..
When the b.groom family comes they will ask and check the monarch to see the level of readiness.

Where we are going,we must get ready.
Our works must also testify.
After the rituals of church, how are we living our lives.
Are you ready?

The 5 foolish, wasted their time.
Do not be like them.
Be focused be wary of time wasters..
He is coming soon.

The holy spirit Is there to present us before the father.
He knows the mind of the father.
Christ must present a holy, blameless, pure bride/church before the father.
We must be as holy as HE is.

We are more than conquerors!!!

Have enough oil, HE IS COMING.
