A few weeks ago we took some time out of the office to visit Matamba Film Labs for Women who just recently moved into a new and cool space, the Matamba Virtual Reality Hub. We are excited to witness their growth and can't wait to see all the fun projects that they are working on. Matamba Film Labs for Women equips and empowers women filmmakers by providing a non-exploitative environment for women to learn new media storytelling skills such as Virtual reality and Augmented reality. Surgeons use virtual reality techniques to separate conjoined twins

After emerging from a final risky surgery, Brazilian twin brothers Arthur and Bernardo Lima were met with an emotional outpouring of applause, cheers and tears from medical staff and family members.

For the first time, the boys lay separated, face-to-face and holding hands in a shared hospital bed in Rio de Janeiro, after doctors there and almost 6,000 miles away in London worked together using virtual reality techniques to operate on the conjoined 3-year-olds.

HoAF will fund projects up to EUR 1000. Artists are invited to explore novel perspectives on feminisms centered on the inclusion of q***r perspectives and what that looks, sounds or reads like.
