466 exhibitors register for ZITF
Atleast 466 exhibitors have booked space to showcase their products and services at this year’s edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF), which is scheduled from 23 to 27 April in Bulawayo.
The 64th edition of the ZITF will be running under the theme “Innovation: The catalyst for Industarlisation and Trade. ”
Addressing a post cabinet briefing on Tuesday , the Minister of Information , Publicity and Broadcasting Services , Jenfan Muswere said preparations are on track with around 466 exhibitors already registered .
“Preparations for the 2024 Zimbabwe International Trade Fair are on track, with infrastructure refurbishment already underway and expected to be completed by 20 April, 2024.
“A total of 466 direct exhibitors had registered to participate as at 21 March, 2024, with 65 exhibiting for the first time,” Minister Muswere said.
The Official Opening Ceremony and the ZNCC Business Luncheon will be on 26 April and public days will be held on 26 and 27 April.
There will also be a two-day ZITF Innovators Forum for young innovators and entrepreneurs in Africa. The five-day ZITF Scholastica Expo 2024 event will focus on entrepreneurship, innovation and leadership for students in the country.

By Albert Mavunga Deputy Minister of lndustry and Commerce, ZanuPF legislator for Bulawayo South, Cde Raj Modi has continued to help the country in the fight against the spread of the corona virus. Mr Modi has in the past 2 weeks donated over 100 thousand surgical masks and over 2000 litres of hand sanitizers to various institutions in Zimbabwe. His recent donation was to the President of Zimbabwe, His Excellency, Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa at State House over the weekend. Mr Modi donated 42500 masks and 411 litres of hand sanitizers. The ZanuPF member of Parliament has been a shinning light in Bulawayo during the pandemic. He donated to hundreds of vendors at the popular market place in downtown Bulawayo. The Minister donated 20 thousand masks and 144 bottles of sanitizers to shops and vendors doing business at the busiest market place in Matebeleland. In an effort to also stop the spread on the virus amongst frontline workers the Minister also made a sizeable donation to the national broadcaster, ZBC in Bulawayo. Montrose studios got a serious boost by getting 5000 masks and 122 sanitizers from the ZanuPF member of Parliament. Mr Modi says he has much more to give and help fight the spread of the virus. “ I still have thousands of masks and many more bottles of sanitizers to donate and help where possible. We are in this fight together.” said the Minister. The minister has also made donations to Mpilo hospital, SOS children’s home, Smile for Africa in Bulawayo and numerous other places are on the cards. The fight continues to stop the spread of Covid19 in Zimbabwe and government has implemented isolated city lockdown in Kwekwe after a surge in cases there. Zimbabwe has amassed a lot of praise globally for its vigilance in the fight against corona virus and its restrictions to curb the spread. Next Level News Network
