The 27th edition of Mining, Engineering and Transport Expo(Mine Entra) has opened its doors at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) grounds in Bulawayo, setting the stage for a landmark gathering in the mining, engineering, and industrial sectors. Running from October 9 to 11, this year’s exhibition is themed _"Unearthing Success: The Mining Value Chains, Innovation, and Industrialisation Nexus."_ It highlights the crucial interplay between mining, technological innovation, and industrialisation.

Bongo Love were formed in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, in 2001, pioneering a style of music they referred to as “afrocoustic”- acoustic music played largely with sub-Saharan instrumentation.
In March 2006, Bongo Love won the Zimbabwe leg of the Music Crossroads competition and went on to participate in the Interregional Festival in Maputo, Mozambique. Here they won the Ethno Music Prize. As a result, they were invited to perform in Sweden and the Dominican Republic, leading to their first major tour of the USA in 2007. They have toured all over the world, playing on a variety of stages including festivals, camps, clubs and private functions. Highlights include opening for US band Dispatch at Madison Square Garden in New York in 2007 for three sold out shows and playing at the House of Blues in Chicago in 2008.
Bongo Loved comprised of John Mambira , Mpho Godfrey Mambira, Trymore Jombo and Themba Mawoko who then left the group and James Buzuzi joined the group.

They performed at the Spanish Cultural Centre in Equatorial Guinea, West Africa, 2006.
They attended and performed at the 2006 African Caribbean Pacific Festival (ACP Festival) in Dominican Republic.
They played three sold-out shows in 2007 with Dispatch at Madison Square Gardens in New York City.
They opened for State Radio on their 2008 ʻTake the Country Backʼ tour.
They performed at the 2008 Chimanimani Festival in Zimbabwe.
They performed at the 2008 Manyika Music Festival in Mutare, Zimbabwe where they shared the stage with Oliver Mtukudzi.
They performed together with Thomas Mapfumo in Eugene, Oregon in 2008.
They shared the stage in 2009 with Ladysmith Black Mambazo at Davinci Days Festival in Corvallis, Oregon.
They played at the 2010 Zanzibar Film Festival.

THROW BACK THURSDAY 》》》 Solomon Skuza (1954–1995), also known as Jah Solo was a Zimbabwean musician, one of the most popular to come out of Plumtree. In addition to his native Kalanga, he wrote lyrics in Ndebele, Shona and English as well.
Born in 1954 in Plumtree, Solomon Skuza went into exile in Zambia during the Rhodesian Bush War to join the Zimbabwe People's Revolutionary Army (ZIPRA). Skuza played in the ZIPRA band and entertained guerrillas at ZIPRA camps.
