Dear partners, co-operators and friends,
The Austria-Zimbabwe Friendship Association learned with deep sadness of the passing of Frank Mudimba, Director of Basilwizi Trust, on 27th October. He has always been a good partner in the work of promoting Tonga culture and access to IT education over many years.
Frank was such a strong contender for the BaTonga people, and a valuable asset in terms of excellent leadership and high standards of operation in all his work. Watch his contribution to our recent exhibitions in Austria "Recalling cultural exchange: Statements from Zimbabwe and Zambia"

After the untimely death of our Zimbabwean partner Keith Goddard nine years ago, we were thankful for the willingness of Frank and Basilwizi Trust to take up the Tonga.Online project, to protect and promote our work of many years, starting with the 1997 Nyaminyami Festival - A Celebration of Valley Tonga Culture. The subsequent IT and radio
projects between Austria and the Tonga area have been giving a lively voice to the community and empowering so many up to this day.
Frank will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace. We extend our deepest sympathies to his family, to all members of Basilwizi Trust and to the Tonga community at large.
We wish Basilwizi Trust strength in their continued work for the Tonga community and the people of the Zambezi Valley.
with best wishes
