One of the major aspects of economies in developed countries that underdeveloped countries should look to emulate is decentralization. Zambia is one such example. Our independence in 1964 brought with it a lot of benefits for the proudly Zambian citizenship, but it also deeply highlighted many socio-economic deficiencies that unfortunately only began to be noticed and dealt with a little too late.
