How people treat you is never a personal attack on you, it's a reflection of what's happening inside of them.

When someone treats you badly, understand that this is their perception. You can never change another person.
You can however understand that you deserve better, wish them well, and walk away.
This does not mean be a door mat. Speak your truth without anger, but then know that the only change that will matter is their changed behavior, not the apology they may offer you.

I no longer sit at tables where I might be the topic when I get up.

As we step into this new day, Monday, March 25, 2024, we seek Your presence with a hopeful spirit.
Lord, guide us through the challenges and the moments of this day with Your unwavering strength and wisdom. Let each task we undertake and each decision we make be infused with Your divine guidance.
Grant us the patience to face the day's demands, the courage to embrace the unexpected, and the peace to remain centered in the midst of any storm.
In moments of doubt or weariness, remind us of Your eternal love and the promise that we can do all things through You who strengthens us.
Help us to see the beauty in this day, to recognize opportunities to show kindness, and to be grateful for the blessings, both seen and unseen.
May our actions reflect Your love and grace to all we encounter.

You can't be an important and life-changing presence for some people without also being a joke and an embarrassment to others. you just can't. Because there's no such thing as lack of adversity. It doesn't exist. The old saying goes that no matter where you go, there you are. Well, the same is true for adversity and failure. No matter where you go, there's a five-hundred-pound load of s**t waiting for you. And that's perfectly fine. The point isn't to get away from the s**t. The point is to find the s**t you enjoy dealing with.

Heavenly Father,

on this Wednesday, my heart seeks solace in Your unending grace. The stress of recent days has weighed heavily upon me, and I find myself yearning for the strength that only Your loving hand provides. In the quiet of this morning, I pause to acknowledge that every challenge is an opportunity to witness Your power at work.
Pour out Your spirit of peace over the turbulence of my thoughts. Let the warmth of Your love seep into the cold chambers of worry, thawing the fears that keep me from fully trusting in You. As the world awakens, help me to attune to the rhythm of Your divine purpose, to move with the confidence of one who is called and cherished by the Almighty.

Guide my actions and steady my spirit. Equip me to handle each task, each decision, and each moment with the wisdom that comes from above. Remind me that I am never alone, for Your presence is a constant source of comfort and guidance. In the companionship of Your presence, let me find the courage to face the day with a heart full of gratitude and eyes fixed on the blessings that You have laid before me.

Lord, expand my capacity for patience, that I might endure trials with a spirit of joy. Increase my endurance, that I may run the race set before me without growing weary. In every word I speak, let Your love be echoed, and in every action, let Your glory be reflected.

As I step forward into the unfolding hours of this day, wrap me in the assurance of Your promises. I place my trust in You, knowing that You are the God of yesterday, today, and forevermore. Throughout our daily lives, there will always be individuals resembling snapping jaws of an alligator, hoping we'll slip and fall to gain from our missteps.

These predators exist, violating the unalienable rights of all people, clinging to the dogma of "survival of the fittest."

Modern history brims with well-known examples like Ponzi, Bundy, Gacy, and Madoff, yet there are countless lesser-known villains, particularly lurking, seeking to exploit our weaknesses.

Protecting ourselves is easier when we focus on personal goals and understand the tremendous power we possess by surrounding ourselves with loving family and loyal friends.

In their embrace, we find strength and resilience against the lurking dangers of the world.
