Getting married is one of the great Sunnah's of Rasulullah (S.A.W). However, it is not just a sunnah itself, but also that it opens up the door to many others as well. There are many other Sunnahs which only married people can act on, and which single people are deprived of. Below are just a few of them. May Allah (SWT) grant all married people, by virtue of acting on these things, a blissful, loving and lasting relationship; and may He make it easy for all of us singletons to get married, so that we can implement them as well.

1) Greet her.

2) Convey salams to her from others.

3) Smile at her.

4) Make dua for her.

5) Honour her friends, even after her death. Send them food from a sacrifice.

6) Eat from the same plate.

7) Drink from the same place where she places her mouth, and eat from the same place where she places her mouth.

8 ) Put a morsel of food in her mouth.

9) Let her comb your hair.

10) Recite Qur’an, while resting your head in her lap.

11) Take a ghusl with her from a single container.

12) Teach and advise her in a gentle manner.

13) Go racing with her and let her win. Later, when she puts on weight, race with her again and beat her.

14) Call her by an endearing nickname.

15) Wipe away her tears.

16) Heed her advice.

17) Take her with you on long journeys. If you have more than one wife, let them cast lots to decide who gets to go.

18) Spend time with her in entertainment, and stay with her until she is satisfied.

19) Let her spend time with her friends.

20) Give her time to adorn herself before going to her for intimacy.

21) Do not go to her in the manner of animals.

22) Make this dua before being intimate with her: Bismillah. Allaahumma jannibnash shaitaan, wa jannibish shaitaana maa razaqtanaa.

23) Wake her up to make salaah at night. If she doesn’t get up, sprinkle water on her face. Specifically on the wedding night.

May Allah SWT grant us the best of spouses in this world and reunite us with them in Jannah Ameen. 🤲🏾

Death

Life slips away second by second. Are you aware that everyday that passes brings you closer to death or that death is as close to you as it is close to other people. As we are told in the verse .

Whatsoever is on it (the earth) will perish. And the face of your lord full of Majesty and honour will remain forever Al Rahman 55:26-7

Every soul shall taste death in the end , to us you shall be brought back. Surah al- ankabut 57

All praise is due to Allah, who reminds his slaves their lives have an appointed Time and that the successful are those who are saved from the fire and entered into paradise , when he says:

"Every one shall taste death death . And only on the day of resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is removed away from the fire and admitted to paradise , he is indeed successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception." (3:185)

Brothers and sisters ( may Allah preserve us up on the Sunnah and Grant us a good end......Ameen). Indeed death is a reality faced by everyone who lives. No one has the power to avoid it, nor does anyone around the dying person have the ability to prevent it. It is something which happens every moment and it is encountered by the old and the young , rich and the poor, the strong and the weak. They are all the same in that they have no plan or means of escaping it, no power , no means of intercession , no way to prevent it, nor to delay it., Which shows that indeed it comes from one having tremendous power - so that the human is helpless in this regard he can only submit to it. He Allah S.W.T reminds us that death will reach us no matter where we are when he Says:

" Whosoever you may be, death will overtake you even if you're in fortresses built up strong and high!" (4:78)

People die everyday , but when someone close to us dies the shortness of this worldly life becomes more manifest reality and Les attention is given to the worldly aspirations. This is what it should be whether someone dies or not , on order that may make more effort in preparing for the meeting with our Lord. Let our gathering be that of remembrance of Allah and the Aakhirah , knowledge and advise towards that which increases the slave in taqwa.

The messenger of Allah peace be upon him Said: " make much remembrance of the destroyer of pleasure , it is death." And let u snot be deceived by this worldly life and it's glitter.

Brothers and sisters! There is no cure for death, A cure for cancer exist, A cure for AIDS exist , and a cure for every other desease exist. Except for death. The messenger of Allah Said : 'Allah has not created a desease except that he he has created a cure for it, excel for a single desease...old age '

We end with ahaadeeth narrated by abu hurrairah (may Allah be pleased with him) saying that the prophet peace be upon him said ", the life span of my flowers is between sixty and seventy. Very few of them do exceed this age." Reported by tirmidhi

MORAL VALUES TO TEACH OUR CHILDREN

there is a saying: " those who are not taught manners by their parents , will be taught by the world , " and the world is clearly a mess , so we do not want our children to scramble and get dirty in it. So let's make the effort to teach the moral values and manners.

a. RESPECT

Respect for the other and authority is an important value in society. Alongside respect children learn other values such as self-discipline and patience. The conduct of a child is often a reflection of the nature of upbringing. Parents caring for the future of their children will not leave it to the school of hard knocks.

b. HUMILITY

It may sound self defeating to teach a child humility in an era when a child has to grow in self belief and confidence. However , humility is about being graceful in achievement without pride and arrogance. It is also about acknowledging that you have shortcomings for which you apologize especially when another has been inconvenienced by your action or omission.

c. RESPONSIBILITY

To be responsible is to honor our commitments. Even at a young age , children show interest in performing duties and chores around the home. This has to be encouraged to lay a foundation for taking up more responsibilities of their own personal hygiene, maintaining cleanliness in their own space , Caring for their possessions and so on. This inculcates discipline and helps to develop a sense of even more responsibility as they become of age.

d. OBEDIENCE

Iblis's fall from grace was due to his arrogance and disobedience. how often do we see defiance to authority as an act of bravery ?" Rules are made to be broken," so goes the rebels refrain. A good parent gives latitude but knows where to draw the line. It is important to remain firm and consistent in re- enforcing obedience by using appropriate rewards and sanctions.

e. FRIENDLINESS

In an environment where we teach our children not to speak to strangers , it is difficult to strike a balance between caution against those who can take advantage of our young ones and be friendly. Regardless , where possible , our children need to be sociable.

Abu Dharr Radhi-Allahu anhu reported that the Messenger of Allah Said , your smile to your brother is saddaqah (charitable act) for you. (Tirmidhi) So, do not respond to your child’s smile witha hostile , " what's funny?! "

ISLAMIC PARENTING CLASS 1

4 minutes read 🕜

Children, no doubt , are a blessing from Allah S.W.T. From the time the baby is conceived , we start planning ahead for their future, and the joy that comes with its arrival has no bounds. The love for our child in our heart is something so natural and it comes with no strings attached.

But we must remember that children are a blessing (amanah) trust from Allah S.W.T. , and therefore we have certain duties. And responsibilities towards them and Allah S.W.T. , for he is the One who blessed us with them in the first place. Allah mentions wealth and children as a test for us, to show how we deal with the blessing. Allah Azza wa jal tests some people with wealth, and others without wealth. Similarly Allah tests some people with children, and others without children.

We should always keep a check on ourselves that both of these do not take us further from our Deen, and therefore, it is our duty as believers our children up, in a fashion that pleases Allah. It is our responsibility to give them the Islamic guidance and instill in them values of Love , fear, hope, submission , to worship Allah S.W.T.

As concerned parents , we are All worried about how our kids will turn out in this world , if they will get a good paying job and marry a beautiful/handsome, rich/noble spouse. But how often do we wonder about what kind of Muslims will they grow up to be? Will they be an asset or a burden to Ummah. Are we raising regular , confirming to the norms kinda children , or we aim to raise leaders of the ummah?

To raise exceptional children begin by realizing in our minds that as parents we need to be willing to admit our shortcomings and not discount that which is " inconvenient " as being impractical ( such as keeping children away from indecent content on the screen and teaching them to shun mainstream Singing/dancing entertainment)

Let's begin by reminding one and all of what a great responsibility raising children really is. Realizing should drive us a greater effort . Responsibility is a word that many like to avoid , but we simply cannot. Islam teaches us responsibility. In the following ahaadeeth the messenger of Allah peace be upon him draws our attention to the great responsibility of bringing our children up correctly.

Ibn ' Umar (radiyallaahu anhu) reports that He heard the messenger of peace be upon him say , All of you are like shepherds and all of you will bs asked about their flock, ( i.e. are responsible for them) the imam (leader) is the shepherd of his subjects and he is responsible . A man is a shepherd for the people of his home and he is responsible (will be asked about them). A woman is a shepherd of her home of her husband and she is responsible. Each of you is like a shepherd and each is responsible for his flock. ( Bukhari and Muslim).

WARNING!

Always keep in mind that you, the parent, will be asked about your children. Inb Al qayyim (rahimahullaah says that the father will be asked his child before the child is asked about his father. So for a parent to neglect teaching their children that which is beneficial is indeed a great wrong. Most children are corrupted due to their parents shortcomings in raising them well and neglecting teaching them their religious responsibilities and duties.

LIFE AND GOALS OF A MUSLIM

Peace of mind, contentment, happiness and freedom from worries and anxiety. these are what everyone wants , and these are the ways in which people can have life and complete happiness and joy.

Now if we ask anyone how we achieve that, the common answer would be to have financial security and a good family to go back to, what we miss out on is the religious part and hence we see the western world although having so much of wealth and their so called freedom suffer The most from stress , anxiety and depression. There are religious means of achieving this , and natural and practical means, but no one can combine all of them except the believers, although other people may achieve all of them, they will Miss out on others. And so it is the religious aspect that needs to be added to this to make it a complete package which gives the required effect.

There is a similar pattern setting goals for every human being ( whether Muslim or not), that is to study while we are young so that we can earn provisions. But as a Muslim there is one goal on top of both of these, which is to prepare for the Aakhirah (the hereafter), and for that we need to perform deeds to please our lord , Allah S.W.T. That is what gives us complete peace of mind , contentment, happiness and freedom from worries.

There is one dua that the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him used to make which covers all these aspects , he used to recite this in his adhkar every morning and evening.

O Allah! I ask You for knowledge that is of benefit, a good provision and deeds that will be accepted.

SubhaanAllah what a comprehensive dua, verily in the prophet Muhammad peace be upon is the perfect role model. The Dua covers all the goals of a Muslim.

1. knowledge that is of benefit, the best knowledge is that of the deen, but the worldly knowledge can be of beneficial depending on the intention.

2. Good provision, how many times do we see that people have money , have a good looking family but internally they are broken , whether that is because of lack of respect or connection within the family, they despise each other hence even having all the provisions is of no good, so it is a blessing from Allah to have a healthy and happy family along with enough money to survive nicely.

3. Deeds that will be accepted , in today's age of fitnah, we people doing deeds thinking they are going to have great rewards for it , but the fact they perform Acts of shirk or bidah which are all rejected. So it is of utmost that we perform deeds that are accepted by Allah and verily the hidayat to do is only for Allah.
