Lusaka lawyer and PF Matero strongman Celestine Mambula Mukandila shares👇🏼

I recently paid my respects at two funeral homes in Matero, where I had the somber opportunity to condole with fellow party members who had lost loved ones.

My first stop was Emmazdale Funeral Home, where our Constituency Party Official had lost their mother. It was a poignant moment, and I was honored to be able to offer my support during this difficult time.

I then proceeded to another funeral home in the TC Matero North area, where our Ward Official had lost their daughter. The sense of loss and grief was palpable, and I was moved by the outpouring of support from the community.

As I reflected on these visits, I was reminded of the importance of coming together as a community to support one another in times of need. It's in these moments that we're reminded of our shared humanity and the value of compassion and empathy.

I'd like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of our Party Official and Ward Official. May they find strength and solace in the days ahead.

Married People Must Be Home by 21:30 – Magistrate

Matero Local Court Magistrate Lewis Mumba has stated that married individuals should be home no later than 21:30 hours. He made this remark while counseling a married couple from Lusaka’s Six Miles area, who had appeared before the court for reconciliation.

Chuma Tembo, 32, had taken her husband, Díckson Tembo, 40, to court seeking reconciliation. She told the court that her husband causes her emotional distress by accusing her family of witchcraft, claiming that many of her relatives have died as a result.

She further complained that Díckson frequently locks her out of the house when she returns from selling fritters around 20:00 hours, leaving her stranded outside.

In his defense, Díckson argued that Chuma does not properly care for their children or prepare meals for them.

CHILILABOMBWE RECORDS 11 NEW SUSPECTED CHOLERA CASES

Chililabombwe District on the Copperbelt has recorded 11 new suspected cholera cases in the last 24 hours, with one reported death.

This brings the total number of cases to 97 since the outbreak earlier this week.

According to District Commissioner Precious Njekwa, the disease is now spreading to different parts of the district, raising concerns among health authorities.

Ms. Njekwa noted that while nine patients have been discharged within the same period—bringing the total number of recoveries to 66—25 patients remain hospitalized.

The commissioner also observed that more men than women have been affected by the outbreak.

Meanwhile, the Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA) has assured the public that it is fully prepared to tackle the outbreak.
