FORMER UNZASU PRESIDENT ARRESTED

Police in Lusaka have arrested and charged Gabriel Ellas Band, aged 33 of Kalingalinga Compound for the two offences of Proposing violence Contrary to Section 91and Criminal Trespass Contrary to Section 306(a)(b) of the Penal Code Act Chapter 87 of the laws of Zambia.

Zambia Police Service Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga says the suspect is the National Youth Chairperson for Socialist party, who initiated the rioting and looting of some shops which occurred at the university of Zambia between September 18, 2023 around 19:00 hours and September 19, 2023 around 00:10 hours.

Hamoonga says the suspect has been detained in custody.

He says the accused will appear in court soon.

Bally fires Kasanda!

President Hichilema has with immediate fired information Minister, Chushi Kasanda.

Southern Province Minister, Mr Cornelius Mweetwa has replaced Ms. Kasanda, with Central Province Minister, Mr Credo Nanjuwa, who has gone to Southern Province in the same capacity.

Mr Nanjuwa will be replaced as Central Province Minister by Ms. Princess Kasune.

At permenat Secretary level, President Hichilema has elevated Mr Thabo Kawana from his position as director to Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Information and Media, who replaces Dr Kennedy Kalunga, who has been moved to cabinet office.

And the Head of State who has excersised his powers vested in him by the Republican constitution, has appointed Dr Ron Mwambwa as auditor General of Zambia subject to ratification by the National Assembly.

This is according to a statement issued by State House Chief Communication Specialist, Mr Clayson Hamasaka.

Even on The False narrative that has been created saying I’m a Mario, I got her money, used her for money, I was toxic and everything attached to our break up though far from the truth I only have myself to blame.

I proudly stand on it to say I have never been and will never be a Mario.I have been more than capable of holding my own since and I will continue doing so with my head high.Not once had I abused, been toxic or intend to use Feroze for financial gain.I forgive her and really apologize for wasting her time.

Going forward I will focus on becoming a better person, strive to do even better as a father, work smart and hard on becoming one of Zambia’s best musical arts.Relationships for a person like me are proving more harm than good and really not worth losing what I have struggled to build for years for and I’m all to blame.

VUBWI WOMAN STABS HUSBAND'S SIDECHICK

A 28-year-old Sidechick of Vubwi district in Eastern province, is battling for her precious life in air-conditioned Chipata Central Hospital wards after being stabbed in the stomach by another woman following accusations of infidelity.

Eastern Province Police Commanding Officer, Limpo Liwyalii, has confirmed the incident to ZANIS in Vubwi in a statement identifying the victim as 28-year-old Judith Phiri of Chigwaya village in Chief Pembamoyo’s area.

Mr Liwyalii said the incident happened on Saturday September 23, 2023.

He revealed that the victim sustained a deep cut on the right side of her torso after being stabbed with a knife by her 29-year-old counterpart Margret Nyambi of Kalikongwe village.

And the husband to the accused, Isaac Mwale, has told ZANIS that the incident happened after his wife went looking for him at the house of the victim, who is his girlfriend, without his knowledge.

Mr Mwale, who is also a Councilor for Vubwi central narrated his side of story stating that on Friday he had gone to visit a friend in Mzebe area where he spent a night and returned to Kalikongwe village the next day but did not go straight home.

He added that he only learnt of the incident from the sister to the victim whom he spent a night with in Kalikongwe village.

“I accept that this girl and I have something, so it looks like it was a preconceived idea from my wife to hurt her,” he lamented.

And an eye witness, Bertha Mwale, said after stabbing the victim, Ms Nyambi ran and hid in the nearby bushes but only returned with an intention of hiding in a group of people that had gathered to see the woman who had been stabbed and was calling for help.

Ms Mwale said Ms Nyambi was later identified and arrested because a knife which was stained with blood dropped out of her chitenge.

“After she came out of the bushes, a blood stained knife fell from her Chitenje and people singled her out,” she said.

The victim was later rushed to Chipata Central Hospital in the late hours of yesterday where she is receiving medical attention while her attacker is in police custody.

HOW I LOST MY JOB COZ OF A DEBS OFFICER.

Post for me and hide my identity.
I have been working at one of the private schools here in Lusaka for 5 years teaching middle and reception classes(combined)..our school is situated along one of the busiest roads..
In my class,i had 2 children whose mother works for DEBs..so one day while at school, i developed a headache and rushed at a nearest pharmacy to buy medicine.i left my class in one of my friends hands...my friend got busy with other things and left my class with No one to look after them.
This now prompted one of the DEBs children to go and play at the road side...but was quickly seen and brought to class by the friends.
When i came back,everything was normal until the following day when this DEBs woman came..mwebantu i was shouted at like a kid as to why i let the kid go to the main road when i was around..i tried to explain to her that i wasn't around when it was happening and that its news to me..when she left,i thought things were sorted out and i went to the class and asked what happened.the friends said,he just walked out of the class without saying anything.when the friends saw him,they had to report to one of the teachers who rushed to go and get him..my fellow teachers never said anything to me or what had happened when i was away..
Now this DEBS woman started threatening me and she reached to an extent of approaching the owner of the school and told him that,if am not fired,the entire school will be shut down..upon hearing this,the owner of the school fired me..am now 1 week without employment..

Does it mean,we'll be using our positions in government to discipline those in private schools?

September 23, 2023-The Zambia Police Service has noted with concern the unlawful assembly and political activism that was conducted by Patriotic cadres on Saturday September 23,2023, when the Former President Mr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu was conducting his morning Jogging routine.

We would like to warn the Patriotic Front cadres that public gatherings or demonstrations, including political events should be notified to the police as by law established. Failure to do so amounts to a breach of the law. This is to ensure public safety, traffic management, and to prevent disruptions to the daily lives of citizens.

What transpired yesterday where Patriotic Cadres went about disrupting the free flow of traffic amounts to Unlawful assembly and going forward shall not be tolerated. Such a procession of a former Head of State should be done with his security detail and devoid of political activism.

*7 SLAPPED WITH 5 YEARS IMPRISONMENT FOR MUMBWA RIOTS*
Seven of the Nine accused persons who appeared in court today September 22,2023 pleaded guilty to offences they were facing in connection with the Mumbwa riots and have been sentenced to Five years imprisonment with hard labour for male persons and simple imprisoned for female persons.

The matter was before Honourable Philip Mpundu of Mumbwa Magistrate Court.
POLICE SPOKESPERSON Rae Hamoonga explained that Chris Makepeshi, pethias Chikwanda, Mponga Hamweemba and Matildah Tabulo have all been sentenced to Five years imprisonment for theft.

Meanwhile, Nelson Michelo 26, of Phiri and Sons Compound has been sentenced to Five years imprisonment for House breaking and Theft.

Others are Bright Matepeta and Elizabeth Kayawe sentenced to Five years imprisonment for Breaking into a building and committing a felony therein.

Meanwhile, Ceaser Phiri who was jointly with the now convicts for the offence of theft has denied the charge and trial will commence on October 2, 2023.

Another accused person Mapenzi Situmbeko who was jointly charged with now convicts for breaking into a building and committing a felony therein, denied the charge and trial will commence on October 2, 2023.

PENTECOSTAL HOLINESS PASTOR PUTS HIS MANHOOD ON 4 CHILDREN

Sumbi village, located in Chief Nsokolo's chiefdom in Senga Hill of the Northern Province, has been gripped by shock and outrage following the alleged defilement of four young girls.

The incident, which took place on September 14th, involves an alleged pastor of Pentecostal holiness who is currently on the run from authorities.

According to reports, the four victims, aged between 8 and 13, frequently played near the suspect's residence due to their close friendship with his granddaughter and on the material day, the suspect, identified as Abel Sichivula, allegedly lured the girls by promising them sweets and biscuits.

Eager to receive the treats, the girls willingly followed their friend to Sichivula's residence.

However, as they approached his abode, one of the girls noticed Sichivula and became suspicious like a married woman.

Opting for caution, like a crime investigative journalist she decided to hide behind a shrub, secretly observing the unfolding events.

From her safe low Budget hiding place, the YOUNG lad witness witnessed Sichivula offer sweets to her friends.

Soon after, he instructed them to lie down, at which point the true nature of his intentions became apparent, he removed his black shinny smelling equipment of urinating and started inserting it on the girls, one by one. .

Sichivula warned the girls not to divulge the incident and threatened to kill them if the told anyone.

It is not clear if the suspect's granddaughter who led the victims to the bush was present at the time.

However, following the incident, the witnessing girl mustered the courage to come forward and report the horrifying ordeal to their uncle.

The report was initially filed at the TAZARA Police in Chozi and was subsequently transferred to the Nakonde Police Station.

Medical reports were issues and the findings are consistent with have been instituted into the matter and a man hunt for the alleged clergy.
