The sensitization meeting on cash and work by the Member of Parliament (MP) Sipho Hlazo, in conjunction with the Local Authority ended on a good note.
Residents were sensitised on the cash and work, employment opportunities and the purpose of the project which was introduced by the UPND Government to help people to work on community projects and get paid. The program is part of the Drought Response Initiative, that will enable people to buy food and ease the challenges that they are going through.
The meeting was held at Twatasha Market center and stores in Chilanga Ward.
Community leaders, residents, and local business owners were invited to attend to gain knowledge on the cash and work program
Through interactions with the members of the public the MP and council members understood community concerns towards the program and how to address them. In the end,
Collaborative relationships was built between community leaders, residents, and local government representatives.
