LAUNCH OF THE NATIONAL FINANCIAL INCLUSION STRATEGY (NFIS) II (2024-2028) & REVIEW OF THE REPORT OF THE NATIONAL FINANCIAL INCLUSION STRATEGY (2017-2022)
...I welcome you all to this important launch of the National Financial Inclusion Strategy II (2024-2028) and the 2017-2022 National Financial Inclusion Strategy Review Report. Today’s launch demonstrates how resolute we have been as a nation with the financial inclusion journey. During this journey, the Government has implemented a number of policy and financial sector reforms starting with the financial sector development plans and later on the development of the national financial sector development policy in 2017.

I wish to state that the process of developing the Second National Financial Inclusion Strategy involved extensive collaborative engagements with relevant stakeholders from both the public and private sectors. It therefore, reflects aspirations of not only the Government, but all sections of society at all levels.

Special appreciation is also extended to the financial sector regulators, Zambia Information and Communication Technology Authority, Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, and other players who dedicated their human and financial resources in developing the National Financial Inclusion Strategy II (2024-2028).
