If you see someone selling something at a "high price" and you know a cheaper place or person selling it, kindly go there in peace without jeopardizing someone's business.

People have different suppliers who charge different prices, people stay far away from factory shops/wholesalers where they stock, some spend a lot of money on transport, advertisement, delivery fees, etc.

So if you think you can get something somewhere at a cheaper price, go there in silent and stop wanting people to lower their prices to suit you.

😉 BEING TOO OPEN CAN COST YOUR BANK ACCOUNT

In 2007, I went to a friend's workshop, we joked and bounced off ideas at length. One particular idea stood out so I began to mobilise funds for ex*****on.

Days before I could do it, I saw a competitor execute the exact same idea to the T. My heart sunk, I felt robbed, mentally abused and I abandoned the idea immediately.

I learnt the lesson and 16 years down the line I have never been caught up in careless business chatter or throwing FULL proposals at corporate entities or their marketing departments.

Don't do it!

There is always a chancer somewhere who has no business ideas and lives to copy others to survive. They don't have to think hard at anything but nothing beats originality!

Unless you have a solid NDA in place, do not share any idea with anybody w***y nilly.

FIGHTING IN LOVE

Maranda Mwansa and her husband are admittedly no exception when it comes to arguments and disagreements in marriage. Maranda wrote this about her husband after a fight.

“My husband and I got in an argument this morning (like most couples do) and we put each other on the silent treatment for a few hours because we weren’t at a point to receive what the other one was saying,” Maranda wrote on Facebook.

But it was her hubby’s unique gesture in response to the quarrel that has struck a powerful chord with couples across the web:

“I got in the shower and came out to this. I know it’s nothing huge in gesture, but we hadn’t talked it out yet and he still laid my pj’s out for me. He still cleaned the kitchen a few hours ago, hung up my laundry that I was going to do, and vacuumed the living room and the stairs.”

In spite of the bitter disagreement that ended in the ever-dreaded ‘silent treatment,’ Maranda was amazed by her husband’s willingness to show up for her in the little ways that proved his unconditional love wasn’t shaken by a little fight.

“Things aren’t always perfect, but he never stops loving me and showing me,” she shared. “I am just sharing my amazement because I truly married a MAN, y’all hear me?!”

All the praise for this sweet man continuing to love his wife as Christ loved the church even when circumstances could have dictated otherwise.

WHY K'Millian HAS RECEIVED HELP & NOT THAT PERSON IN CRITICAL NEED

People will help you when they have something to gain from helping you. If you ever thought someone helped you without expecting anything from you, you were wrong.

In reflecting on how many people and companies came out to help the Kakabalika, Teti Ndale, Nizakukonda Kuseni LEGEND, I arrived at this conclusion. People came out not to help the legend but to salvage gain from his STRONG NAME

YES! K'Millian's name is a strong brand, a STRONG NAME. Anyone that announces that they're helping a STRONG NAME get a jila, will automatically be in the online news, and pages will share multiple times, mentioning the companies and individuals that have come to the aide of this person. That's how advertising has taken place. Some companies and individuals that have been heard of in the era of the LEGEND'S issues, had never been heard of.

All these were not coming out to help because K'Millian served us a great meal of hits in his heydays, NO. They're helping him because they know he's a strong brand that can help raise their name. Otherwise, they would not be heard of. They're not helping him, they're helping themselves.

I've seen people wonder why people are giving money and all sorts of gifts to this legend instead of people who are going to bed hungry. People who need any sort of financial help to undergo a medical procedure. People 'deserving' of help.

To get an answer to this, ask yourself this question. What gain will individuals gain from helping those little known individuals? Did they ever appear on TV, Radio, Online seeking help? If they did, trust me, companies and individuals will come through to 'help'. Not because they want to help, but because they want to ride on a name that has been brought to light by media. They want to gain something from the sick. They can't just help.

So, people must not complain about those individuals helping the legend, people are only advertising. There's nothing they're giving the legend for free. They're benefiting from a name he built himself, with hardwork.

As a leader, what is your impact on the well being of the organization. And when I say leader, I am not only referring to top level C suite executives. Everyone who has been given charge over something is a leader.

You could be a driver, you are a leader in that space. When you hold the steering wheel, everything rises and falls on you. As an accounts payables officer, you are a leader. If you don't process certain transactions, the company and colleagues suffer.
The question therefore is; "How do you impact or affect the environment around your leadership space?" Do you dim the light when someone comes in your space? Or do you help brighten it up?

There are people in whose space you'll just find yourself smiling even when you are having a bad day. They carry an aura of positive energy. When they don't come for work, everyone misses them. Because their very presence makes time run fast joyfully.
On the other hand though, there are people who, before you approach them, you need two hours to plan on the best way to talk to them... Afterwards, you need two hours to detox of the effects of having approached them. They are so toxic like they are competing with Doom insecticide.

Remember, the workplace is an ecosystem. We all need each other somehow. But if your presence in the ecosystem, creates a bad day for others, you need to re-evaluate yourself. Maybe, just maybe, you are in a wrong place.

It is vital to always try and leave a positive impact on people who come across you. Don't be the person others just tolerate just because, well, they need your service. Like, if they had an option, they would avoid you like Covid.

Also, there is no point in always being upset over something you have given to do. It's your job to solve problems in your area of responsibility. So why are you sulking?

FROM BOXERS AND BAMBAS TO SUITS AND TIES

I just watched the Ndine Emma episode and bruvvvv, respect to Emmanuel.
My take away’s from his journey to success:

1. The Name: I try to be intentional with my words so his name was wow! for me. I find that his name is powerful "ndine Emma" 'I am Emma'. A beautiful accident how the name came to be, watch the episode for details. A lesson for me was the power of OWNING WHO YOU ARE, UNAPOLOGETICALLY. Following the flow of your life & using your inner compass as a guide to help you cease opportunities.

2. The Art: He said he doesn’t watch other creators to avoid copying, his reason impressed me because copying is such an easy route. He said something to the effect “I didn't make that video because I watched ### content creator but because I have interest in the subject” It’s loyalty to authenticity. Love it! He has seen exponential growth as a result.

3. On Value: During the interview he gave an example of another comedian who moved from Botswana to South Africa because there, he was valued more. It was a lesson about how your environment affects your value &Keeping an open mind for growth.

4. The Brand: Having shared work space with legendary acts in the industry like Annie Kansiime, one fire lesson he learned was “know your worth, defend yourself even though you're broke. Protect your brand” basically explained the principal about “DON’T BE NEGOTIATED DOWN TO POVERTY!” each decision you make to undervalue yourself builds up to the bigger picture & value of the brand.

5. Strategy: Study your industry and grow. His strategy is country by country 👌 and it is working y’all!

5.1 He is young, but his mindset is positioned to push his growth through asking questions, seeking knowledge, being clear about his goals & ambition by taking deliberate action.

IF YOU WANT PEOPLE TO TAKE YOU AND YOUR BUSINESS SERIOUSLY…
Get into the habit of signing agreements.
Having terms and conditions and sticking to them no matter who you’re dealing with be it family or friends. Even if you’re a start up!
Don’t operate as though you’re on the black market.
You can’t run a business successfully without policies. You risk being taken advantage of in several ways by customers, suppliers, debtors etc. be woke

MY TAKE ON THE K'MILLION ISSUE:
To start with, if reports are true, the yango drivers should not be vilified simply because they are not famous enough for our sympathy. Drivers trying to make an honest living in hard times were deprived of their honest pay. Regardless how hard K'Million has had it, equally the drivers have their own battles and some have never even had the opportunities that K'Million has had, yet they are working hard for honest money.

SOLUTIONS
Firstly, K'Million needs help in the area of behavioral change. We all have battles we fight but one thing I have personally vowed and we all should, is to never rob another man/woman of their hard earned money.

Secondly, teach K'Million how to fish again. Help him revive and monetize his career... Teach him how to create content, teach him to organize shows of his own, teach him how to rebuild his brand and how to pitch to corporates.

Thirdly, if there's money being raised, let part of that money be to help pay the people his injured.

Lastly, all this should not be free help, otherwise you are simply rewarding bad behavior; behaviour that you are encouraging in him and others. Let him have a sense of responsibility by working for the help he gets. Let him put some skin in the game, by that I mean, let him play a role in helping himself by being committed to a recovery plan which often isn't easy and many give up on choosing handouts over hard work.

K'Million needs help, but so do the people deprived of their fair wages. Wrong behavior should not be rewarded, instead corrected.
