The Toyota Landcruiser VX motor vehicle belonging to singer Elton Mulenga popularly known as Yo Maps is still with Anti-Corruption Commission as investigations are ongoing to establish how it was acquired - ACC director general Thom Shamakamba.

ACC confirmed seizure of the motor vehicle on December 14, 2023.

PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema says five years from now, even those people who don’t like the new dawn government for whatever reason will acknowledge the changes that it will bring to the country.

And President Hichilema has bragged about the ruling party ending load shedding in less than a year of being in government. Meanwhile, President Hichilema has wondered how people can mobilise to protect individuals who stole public money instead of assisting in arresting “the thieves”.

NAMIBIAN PRESIDENT H.E HAGE GEINGOB DIES AGED 82

Namibian President Hage Geingob has died at the age of 82 his office has said, less than three weeks after it was announced he would undergo treatment for cancer.

Geingob died on Sunday at Lady Pohamba Hospital in the capital Windhoek with his wife and his children at his side, acting president Nangolo Mbumba said in a statement posted on Geingob’s official page.

GEINGOB served as president from 21 October, 2015 UpTo his death on February 4, 2024.

IT WILL BE DIFFICULT TO REMOVE UPND FROM POWER - KAVINDELE

FORMER Vice-President Enoch Kavindele says it will be difficult to remove the United Party for National Development (UPND) from power because the New Dawn administration has performed exceptionally well.

Mr Kavindele said the New Dawn administration has delivered on most fronts with one of its flagship programmes, the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), having been accepted by majority citizens.

“This Government is doing extremely well and it will be difficult to even remove it,” he said in an interview.
“Governments everywhere are put in place to be at the service of citizens, and this is what our Government here is doing.”

Mr Kavindele said the New Dawn administration should remain on course and continue with its efforts of delivering development and not fall into the trap of opposition political parties which are into mere politicking.
