LUSAKA WOMAN GETS 9 MONTHS FOR CHILD DESERTION

Anita Chileshe, a general worker of Kanyama compound in Lusaka has been sentenced to 9 months simple imprisonment for child desertion.

Chileshe underwent a home birth before deserting her son on April 9, 2024 whom she had lawful care of, but willfully and without lawful or reasonable cause abandoned.

Appearing before magistrate Mutinta Mwenya on Friday, Chileshe pleaded guilty to the charge but blamed her actions on her inability to fend for the day-old child and her two other kids.

She explained to the court that she decided to wrap the baby in a plastic bag and dump it under a tree near BP gas station on Kafue road, in the hope that someone else could shoulder the responsibility to care for the infant.

A passerby, Meya Mwanza discovered the child under a tree and reported the matter to Kanyama police station with the child now under foster care in a safe home.

According to Chileshe, she had learnt a lot from the days she spent in detention. "I have learnt that deserting a child is a very serious offense.” she said.

Magistrate Mutinta Mwenya counselled Chileshe before handing her a custodial sentence.

“I will impose a custodial sentence of nine months with effect today (August 10) simple imprisonment. You have the right to appeal within 14 days if you are not satisfied.”

My dear brother Paul,

Just like I have told you several times, I am not in any competition with you or anybody else. However, seeing you grant countless interviews where you constantly discredit my efforts in the group that we both created and built together really speaks volumes. In your recent interviews, you claimed that you wrote and sang 99% of all P-SQUARE songs and discredited me by saying that our song with TI "EjeaJo," which I wrote, was a failure. You went as far as using the YouTube views to discredit me once again.

You never acknowledged the other songs like "Get-Squared," "Bizzy Body," "Personally," "Roll It," "Temptation," "Alingo," "More than a Friend," "Shekini," "Say Your Love," "Gimme Dat," "Senorita," "IGBEdu," and a few others. Were these songs also considered failures as well?

Every time I have spoken in interviews about P-SQUARE, I have always used "we" and "us" because I saw us as a team. But whenever you speak, it’s always "I" and "me," even when I’m standing right beside you. It’s as if I never existed.

My brother, neither of us is the most talented artist in the world, but you fail to understand that God gave us this talent and even granted us another chance to excel after our last breakup. Instead, you chose to turn the most awarded and decorated music group in Africa into a laughingstock again.

One thing you need to understand clearly is that the fans didn’t fall in love with P-SQUARE because of who sang or danced the most. What made us special was the magic that came from our combined effort - us two! P-SQUARE was a force, and the fans fell in love with P-SQUARE because of our uniqueness and unity. We both have talent, no doubt, and I have often praised you in our interviews for your songwriting ability.

I have also praised anyone who has ever written a song for us or even for me as Mr. P. But instead of showing gratitude for my kind words, you seem to find satisfaction in rubbing it in my face, forgetting that it is by God’s grace that we have come this far.

Rather than joining forces with me to reclaim our number 1 spot in the music industry, you chose to team up with Jude to claim the number 1 spot in the P-SQUARE group, always looking for opportunities to marginalize and humiliate me.

You are always claiming to be P-SQUARE’s songwriter, composer, producer, singer, backup vocalist, in fact you are everything including P-SQUARE’s video director, band, promoter, manager, even the choreographer. You are the Author and Finisher of P-SQUARE! In fact, I dash you 100% of everything instead of the 99% you claim.

I blame myself for not responding to your tweet claims in April 2015 that you wrote and sang all of P-SQUARE’s songs. I didn’t respond to these false claims for the sake of peace, as advised by family and friends, and now I am paying dearly for it.

So, my brother, let me ask you: Is Rudeboy or Mr P bigger and more successful than P-SQUARE today? Are we individually selling out arenas and stadiums like P-SQUARE used to? Are we topping world music charts with our songs as solo artistes?

Do we command crowds and entertain massive audiences like P-SQUARE?
I often find myself wondering, what do you truly gain by constantly disrespecting and belittling me all the time. You have disrespected my wife, disrespected my family, disrespected my talent, disrespected my ideas, and even sided with Jude when he was clearly trying to oppress me. Now, it feels like you have taken it even further by trying so hard to turn the fans against me by making them believe I’m jealous of you.

You have been doing everything for the fans to hate me, but guess what? They will never hate me; instead, they will hate us both because we have disappointed and failed them.
I hope you are happy now. I genuinely wish you nothing but the best, bro! As for those who believe these lies and false narratives and come to my page to drop negative comments, I understand because you have been fed the wrong narrative for a long time. Please allow me to focus and do my music in peace.

EDGAR LUNGU IS A LAWLESS MAN; BY CALLING FOR UNCONDITIONAL RELEASE OF CRIMINAL SUSPECTS , HE IS ENDORSING LAWLESSNESS.

It has become a habit for Former President Edgar Lungu to sympathize with lawbreakers at the expense of the rule of law .

His utterances over some arrests of those he either worked with or those he intends to hoodwink that they are politically together , even when they break the law must concern all of us .

In a very lukewarm and lopsided casual approach to a clearly straight forward matter of a criminal nature , Edgar Lungu is pretending to discuss our democratic space when his hands are bloodstained with innocent souls he sacrificed for the love of power .

While ECL is trying to cheat citizens , Nsama Nsama and Joseph Kaunda are no more .They were killed under his watch. Citizens were gassed .

We have not also forgotten that Lawrence Banda and Mapenzi Chibulo are late and they will never come back as ECL dreams of coming back to sacrifice more citizens to his satisfaction.

Today , ECL wants to claim that the arrest of Fred M’membe has to do with democracy when he should be confronting the criminal element by arguing from the point of law as a lawyer .

There is no unconditional release on criminal matters . ECL is already demonstrating his appetite to break the law assuming he came back to power by accident , which accident cannot also happen .

Instead , ECL must focus on justice and not hypothetically calling for sympathy .

We all know that ECL is the father of tyranny, lawbreaking and arbitrary arrests in Zambia as such , he is even a wrong person to talk about democracy.

As the saying goes , uwakalema takaleka ( old habits die hard) . And another which goes ,” you can’t teach an old dog new tricks “. Edgar Lungu will never change . It is too late for him to change given his age .

The arrests currently being seen are a matter of a question of what law has been broken by Fred and not whether he must be unconditionally released .

To call for unconditional release of suspects is a clear call to law breaking by a person who claims to be a lawyer .

ECL is a Staunch dictator, law breaker and a tyrant who can never change and this is why he wants a lawless society in which criminals are allowed to roam the streets and break the law with impunity without being arrested .

This is why it was fashionable at his time for criminals of corruption, gassing , money laundering , fire tenders , suspicious 48 houses , ambulances , ghost workers , council workers without grade 12 certificates , illegal Mukula dealers, Ukwa bag businessmen and gun brandishing bloody carders to be walking around without being arrested .

There was a break down in the rule of law under his leadership because all criminals idolized criminality.

It was appetizing for ECL to see blood in the country at the hand of men and women in uniform.

We want to call upon all meaningful Zambians to reject this call to lawlessness . We must call for respect for the law and not willful breaking of laws as ECL is used to .

SEXAMINATION MALPRACTICE LANDS NDOLA MAN IN HOT SOUP

Police in Ndola are investigating an examination malpractice incident involving a 32-year old Man who was paid K5, 500 to write six GCE papers for a female candidate at George Secondary School.

According to Copperbelt province commissioner of police, Peacewell Mweemba, Edwin Mawele of Masala township in Ndola, walked into the exam room bearing national registration card number 409454/61/1 pretending to be female Siamujaye Ntuma before he was caught.

Following an interrogation by police at Twapia police station, Mawele confessed that he had paid K300 to obtain the said NRC during which the s*x was altered from female to male.

This is reported to have happened on Thursday August 8, 2024 at 10:30 hours when the matter was reported to Twapia Police Station after the suspect was caught during Mathematics paper 1 examination using exam number 8456170118.

The police report that examination officials were tipped after which they asked the suspect to sign on a piece of paper to compare with Siyamujaye's signature that was in the initial register, which he failed to replicate.

He was taken to Twapia Police Station where he confessed that he was writing for Siamujaye Ntuma and that he was paid K5, 500 to write 6 GCE subjects on her behalf.

Police have since opened a Docket and arrested the suspect while investigations to bring all others involved in the scam have been instituted.
