NKOLE CHIEFDOM MEN FEAR FOR THEIR LIBIDO

Nkole clinic vaccinator Mwaka Handema has attributed low turnout in Nkole chiefdom to rumors that the vaccine reduces sexual power in men. Speaking to KBC radio, Ms. Handema said most people are refusing to get vaccinated because of rumors that they have been told concerning the vaccine.
She said that despite all the rumors going round, the health team has continued to sensitive the community by giving examples of those who have gotten the vaccine within the area.
She said that even after the efforts other villagers have insisted they will use herbs in protecting themselves from the virus, while others have resolved to ask for God's intervention.
And Kapiri Mposhi District Commission Francis Hasalama and District Health Promotions Officer Mungo Chigwele have dispelled those assertions urging the general citizens to get the right information from health centers and not from just anyone.
They both urged the citizen of Kapiri to avoid rumors, focus on the truth, get vaccinated and protect themselves and all those around them.
The Ministry of Health is currently conducting awareness and sensitization countrywide with aim of vaccinating 70% of the population.
