Based in Zuurbekom, Westonaria; Wescity News derives it's name from the three western cities of the district, namely Mogale City, Merafong City and Rand-West City, hence WesCity. lity news – in a convenient and simple way that reasonates with the disadvantaged communities of the West-rand District, as well as to bridge the gap and complement existing newspapers, by offering media coverage on least
focused areas, issues, persons and organisations. Coverage is focused on relevant affairs and issues affecting the local communities, which may include social, sporting, and school events, crime, politics and so on, with an intent to inform and educate the masses. Through consistency and dedication, the company has gained a lot of popularity and amassed a desirable audience consisting of the youth and locals, belonging to the middle & working-class, furthermore, it has entrenched itself and has grown to be the voice of the communities, as well as a source of reliable news, information, entertainment and a driver of social cohesion. Our uniqueness lies in that we don't shy away from pushing the boundaries and have re-invented the traditional means of disseminating information.
