However, we believe that the market is saturated with modeling schools that teach modeling as a hobby, yet there are very few schools preparing models for the market as a working model and/or character. We strive to fill this gap in the market by training, grooming and preparing males and females from the age of 4 years and older. Because we do not focus exclusively on competition and pageant prep
aration, we don't take in masses of would-be models that don't have what it takes to become a working model. Our modules covers a wide range of subjects, ranging from personal care, hygiene, posture, ramp, photographic and character modeling. On request, we also offer occasional competitive modeling courses. Our modules are also age specific and adjusted to suit individual requirements. Our classes are kept small with a maximum of 6 per class to ensure personal attention. However, at b-U Models, we believe that a model should be more than a walking clothes hanger. They should be well-balanced individuals and for this reason, b-U Models is more than just a modeling school. We are about building character and confidence in our models, teaching them life skills, and, above all else, helping you be the BEST you that you can be. In addition to the Agency Preparation Academy, we have a Model and Character Management Agency. The Management Division finds work for our models and assist them to manage their careers. What makes us different from other modeling schools? Most mainstream modeling schools focus on modeling as a hobby - training exclusively and taking part in modeling competitions and pageants. At b-U Models, we believe that competitions and pageants are a means to an end: getting your career as a working model off to an excellent start. Although we also do competition and pageant training, our main focus is more long term. Unless you are the winner of the biggest national and international pageants, you are not likely to be able to make a career out of pageantry. We select our models carefully to ensure that they are not misled by false promises of a modeling career and disappointed when they do not achieve this. We work with leading South African modeling agencies and regularly send models to castings. Some of our models have featured in magazines, outdoor print advertisements, music videos and television series and advertisements.
