Did you know?... Males typically reach maturity at a length of 156 cm, while females mature at around 177 cm, both at an estimated age of 7 years. Breeding takes place in the summer months (December through February) in the inshore waters off the northern KwaZulu-Natal and southern Mozambique coasts. They are ovoviviparous, giving birth to approximately four young, each measuring about 60 cm in total length.
