This is one of my most favourite travel 🧳 photographs. The weather in Grand Teton, USA, is mostly cloudy and to capture that one moment with clear skies should not be taken for granted. We filmed a Kids Safari episode on this epic adventure. See attached the episode on our channel Lion Mountain TV. I have never had any regrets traveling with my kids. These memories are irreplaceable. ♥️

Luca and Melua's adventure begins at the iconic Mount Rushmore in Keystone, South Dakota. The towering faces of past presidents greet them with silent reverence, carved into the rugged Black Hills. This serves as a gateway to their American safari, igniting a thirst for knowledge about the nation's past leaders. Delving into the stories etched in stone, they uncover the dreams and aspirations that shaped American destiny. With each step, they gain a deeper appreciation for the ideals that bind Americans together, setting the stage for an unforgettable exploration.
Mount Rushmore stands as a testament to America's history and resilience, with Luca and Melua awestruck by the sheer magnitude of the sculptures. Each face carries a tale of triumph and tribulation, serving as guardians of the nation's legacy. Their journey through time at Mount Rushmore leaves them with a profound sense of reverence for the leaders who helped mold the course of American history.
Leaving Mount Rushmore behind, Luca and Melua venture into the untamed wilderness of Custer State Park. Guided by their sense of wonder, they traverse the park's winding trails, immersing themselves in the sights and sounds of the prairie. Encountering the majestic Bison up close, they forge a deep connection to the land and its inhabitants, gaining a newfound respect for the importance of conservation efforts in preserving America's natural heritage.
Their adventure takes them further westward to Devil's Tower National Monument in Wyoming, intrigued by its otherworldly appearance. As they get closer to the rocky heights of Devil's Tower, they are mesmerized by the intricate patterns etched into the stone, each groove telling a story of the earth's tumultuous past.
Their final destination, Yellowstone National Park, brings them before one of nature's most spectacular creations – the Grand Prismatic Spring. Luca and Melua are awestruck by its beauty, a reminder of the earth's incredible diversity and resilience. With hearts full of wonder, they soak in the sights and sounds of Yellowstone, grateful for the opportunity to witness such marvels.
Luca and Melua's American safari has been a journey of discovery, enlightenment, and appreciation for the natural and historical wonders of the United States. As they bid farewell to the landscapes that have captured their imaginations, they carry with them a newfound understanding of America's past, present, and future. Their adventure inspires future generations of explorers to embark on their own journeys across the vast and diverse landscapes of America.

The Kalahari is a vast, dry part of southern Africa. It’s not a desert because it gets a little rain every year. Melua and Luca are here in search of a most curious creature. Meerkats! They find a whole family of Meerkats out on their morning journey to find food. This particular group is used to humans being near them, so they allow Luca and Melua to get quite close.

Absolutely loved this episodes

Pangolin Kids Safari - The Pangolin, otherwise known as the scaly anteater, is the only mammal in the world to be covered from head to toe in keratin scales. However, they are not actually related to Anteaters or Armadillos at all – dogs, cats and bears are closer relatives. In this episode Luca and Melua are on a conservation mission to find out all they can about the Pangolin – which is one of the most endangered creatures in the world.

In the enchanting world of childhood, Luca and Melua, aged 8 and 10, embark on a captivating journey through some of the Earth's most stunning landscapes, centered around the Mala Mala Game Reserve in the South African bushveld. This reserve, renowned for hosting the Big Five—Lions, Elephants, Buffalos, Rhinos, and Leopards—becomes the stage for their first encounter with the wild.
Guided by their knowledgeable companion, the duo explores hidden paths, their senses attuned to the symphony of the bush. Lions roar, elephants trumpet, buffalos graze, and rhinos lumber, captivating the young adventurers. The elusive leopard becomes a test of patience and perseverance, but as the sun sets, Luca and Melua's determination is rewarded with the sighting of this magnificent creature gracefully navigating the terrain.
Fueling their insatiable thirst for knowledge, Luca and Melua enroll in a Junior Rangers course, transforming Mala Mala into an immersive classroom of the wild. Under the guidance of their instructor, Lucky, the siblings delve into the secrets of the flora and decode the intricate language of animal tracks. The Junior Rangers course is not just an educational pursuit but a journey into understanding the signs and clues left behind by the diverse creatures inhabiting the reserve.
Lucky's teachings extend beyond the conventional, revealing the fascinating world of animal droppings—a subject less glamorous but equally crucial in the art of tracking. Luca and Melua, armed with newfound expertise, earn their certificates, symbolic of their journey into the intricacies of survival in the wild. Ranger Lucky's lessons resonate, instilling in the young adventurers a profound appreciation for the delicate balance of nature and the interconnectedness of all living beings.
Having conquered the Big Five, Luca and Melua's boundless curiosity propels them into a quest for two more elusive creatures—the Wild Dog and the Cheetah. Hours of meticulous scouring through the bushveld, guided by a determination to complete the Mala Mala Big Seven, lead them to a thrilling encounter with these remarkable animals. The joy of the chase and the exhilaration of discovery are palpable as they witness the untamed beauty of these creatures in their natural habitat.
The Mala Mala Big Seven, a testament to the reserve's rich biodiversity, underscores the importance of conservation efforts. Luca and Melua's journey becomes a celebration of the interconnectedness of all living beings and a reminder of the delicate dance between predators and prey in maintaining the ecological balance.

As a new day dawns at Mala Mala Game Reserve, Melua and Luca, accompanied by Lucky, explore picturesque landscapes along a winding river. Nature's symphony unfolds, introducing the young adventurers to diverse avian wonders. The giant Saddle-billed stork and the tiny Pied Kingfisher showcase the richness of the reserve's birdlife.
The day concludes with an unexpected encounter with a lively troop of baboons, adding a playful note to the Junior Rangers' experiences. Through the eyes of Luca and Melua, the world becomes a vast canvas of wonders, and every creature, big or small, leaves an indelible mark on their young hearts. Their journey serves as a poignant reminder that the beauty of tracking lies not just in the destination but in the joyous steps taken along the way. Tracking through the eyes of babes, we rediscover the enchantment that lies in understanding, respecting, and preserving the extraordinary tapestry of life that graces our planet.
