Joe Alblas Photographer Motion Picture Still Photographer For me, personally, still images create indelible memories in a way that no other medium can.

Words enhance pictures and fill in the information that photos cannot supply. Motion photography's power comes from the narrative possibilities. But photographers go to the heart of an issue, capture something essential in a face, surprise us with details of a scene, and you can create that out-of-the-ordinary still that says it all.......... and that's what I am passionate about.

Part of the spectacular New Testament experience at the MUSEUM OF THE BIBLE in Washington DC, USA.

We were fortunate enough to be able to work on this project and contribute an ensemble of stills portraying this biblical account 'Road to Emmaus'

A Working-with-Light promotional series we produced, inspired by VALKYRIE directed by Bryan Singer together with the cinematographer Newton Thomas Sigel - featuring Tom Cruise back in 2008.

Photographed on the NIKON Z mirrorless system using a ProFoto B1 portable lighting set up to augment the ambient light and a LUT applied to the final images to evoke that Bavarian winter forest look reminiscent in the film.
