Virtual Art Gallery allows first solo exhibition for artist living with Multiple Sclerosis.
One of the positives to come out of the pandemic has been the growing acceptance of online virtual spaces, which has opened the doors to new opportunities for creative thinkers.
The Kieran Anderson Fine Art Gallery consists of a collection of 57 unique pieces, with 10% of the proceeds to be donated to Multiple Sclerosis South Africa (MSSA).
Anderson has been living with MS for over 20 years, an unpredictable and often disabling disease of the central nervous system. Symptoms can range from numbness and tingling to
blindness and paralysis. Since 2016, Kieran’s MS has become more challenging and has progressed rapidly. But he remains positive and celebrates the ‘good days’ when he is able to
create his art, which helps him to pull through on the ‘not-so-good days’.
Kieran studied Fine Arts at Technikon Witwatersrand where he won first prize in the New Signatures competition. After his studies he went to work in graphic design, spending
20 years in the field. He is a versatile artist who likes to experiment with all media and finds oils particularly satisfying, and is known for his bold use of colours and energetic painting style.
It is Kieran’s hope that his journey can assist and inspire others living with MS.
