We love popping into our local dispensary OG - Cannabis Social - Hillcrest, not only for some of the dankest bud like this OG Skittles tunnel, but also for their tasty edibles, all the OrganiCraft products you could desire and because we love the guys that work there - we always receive friendly smiles and fistbumps when walking through the door. 😁👊

We popped into in Kloof, KZN the other day and got some of this fruity Sour Strawberry indoor bud. A hybrid, Indica-leaning strain which has a lovely calming effect and is a great mood booster. 💥

These citrus flavours are useful for anxiety, depression, inflammation, pain and similar symptoms. We felt relaxed and really happy after. 😇

Northern Lights is a lovely, relaxing Indica bud that we picked up the other day from . A cross of Afghani and Thai, Northern Lights is sweet and spicy in flavour with a smooth smoke to ease depression, pain, stress and insomnia. 😌

How does the Northern Lights strain taste to you? 🍃

Here's our favourite Basil Pesto Pasta recipe which is made with basil fresh from our garden! 🍃

Ingredients:
- Fresh basil
- Olive oil
- Nuts (cashew or pine)
- Garlic
- Parmesan cheese
- White onion
- Free-range chicken breast
- Herbs & spices
- Pasta
- Can of diced tomatoes
- Honey or sugar
- Coconut cream

For the pesto:
Use a pestle and mortar, blender or hand mixer to blend a couple of handfuls of basil, a quarter cup of olive oil, a handful of nuts of your choice (we used cashews), a quarter cup of parmesan, two cloves of garlic & some salt and pepper. 🧂

For the pasta:
1. In a small pot, bring your can of tomatoes to a simmer for 10-20mins with some salt and pepper and half a tablespoon of honey or sugar (to cut the acidity of the tomatoes).
2. Dice an onion and chicken breast.
3. Cook your pasta of choice (we used gluten-free).
4. In a large pan, heat a generous amount of olive oil and fry your onions until they start softening. Add your chicken and herbs & spices of your choice.
5. Once your chicken is cooked, add in your cooked tomato sauce, coconut cream and basil pesto and heat through. Add your cooked pasta.
6. We topped our pasta with the leftover cashews, balsamic reduction and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. 🧀

A super tasty and simple pasta - enjoy! 💛

Did you know? ONE-THIRD of all succulent species are in South Africa and many of them are endangered due to poaching. Many of these beautiful plants are being sold in black markets around the world to collectors and enthusiasts and it has very quickly become an epidemic in recent years. 🤬

Be sure to only purchase succulents from reputable suppliers and stick to the easily found and popular succulents like this one from the Echeveria genus which originates from South America. We have a few in our garden! 🌵💛

We’re always excited when we come across Durban Poison, not only because of what a great, energising strain this is to smoke, but because Durban is our home city! 🌆

We picked this bud up at The Cannabis Expo from Isihlangu cannabis hub based in Durban, KZN. We had the best day after smoking this beautiful bud. 😌

TRIPLE OG 💪

How beautiful and frosty is this lovely indoor bud we got the other day from OG - Cannabis Social - Hillcrest - a perfect Indica dominant strain with high THC for these cold winter evenings. ❄️

This strain is commonly used for anxiety, arthritis, pain and other similar symptoms. We had such a great sleep after - 10/10 we recommend it! 💯
