It is amazing what you can achieve if you are motivated and driven by a vision.
On January 18th, 2025, From the Roots (FTR) hosted a successful Base Camp clean-up campaign. The event included an opening briefing, an outdoor clean-up with ABM EThekwini Municipality and Umlazi PEP group, and a closing session for networking and information sharing. Local organizations such as uMlazi Township Tourism, Umlazi International Film Festival, and uMlazi Music and Arts Organization participated, highlighting community collaboration and activism.

Join us for the Base Camp Cleanup Event on January 18th**
We're thrilled to host a cleanup event at Base Camp on January 18th, in partnership with the uMlazi International Film Festival and the Umlazi Art and Music Organization.

The event will include:
- A cleanup initiative at Base Camp
- Playing music
- Presentations from each organization outlining their goals for the year
- Motivational talks to inspire the community

Our goal is to encourage collaboration, celebrate local talent, and contribute to a cleaner, more vibrant space for all. We invite you to participate and be part of a positive, community-driven event!
